A lovely lunch with a good friend. We were warmly welcomed with a smile by Rebecca Thompson and given a spot in the sun to sit at. The food was delicious; hard to choose what to get actually! Will definitely come again next time I'm in Nelson. Thanks Rebecca! You made our lunch visit so enjoyable.

Nice setting with good atmosphere. Friendly staff but very not very attentative. Had to get our own menus and get their attention when we wanted to order and no offer of a dessert menu so didn't bother. The seafood chowder was overpowered with lemon grass and the only seafood that was recognisable by taste was the smoked fish when eaten... More

I arranged 2 fundraising quizz nights at the Speights Nelson, which both were very successful. Rebecca was a wonderful help in putting these 2 nights together and I found her communication and her suggestions to maximize the funds raised for the night excellent, I can highly recommend if you are fundraising to contact Rebecca at the Speights to book your... Fabulous place to eat drink and be social. Very classy yet down to earth. Friendly staff. The outdoor area is superb. You don't get smoked out because it's quite open and has non smoking smoking areas. The range is fabulous.

Again i have come away from a visit here disappointed. On a not very busy night we didnt get great service despite a large number of staff on duty. The different drinks we ordered from their beverage menu were not available and by the time we got to third option for the Sav it was getting a bit frustrating. The... More

We dined here with visitors from Canterbury and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. A busy vibrant place, and not surprising given the prevailing atmosphere. A place where people like to socialise, is always highlighted by capable & friendly staff such as we found here. At our table we were fortunate to be served by Emma. She was delightful and it really... More
