This is a regular coffee meeting spot for me mainly because its convenient & central, the service is friendly and the quality is reliable; the upstairs is a quiet discrete location for a chat . In the evenings the place can really bustle, and they do a nice iced chocolate. Nelson could do with pedestrianising the top of Trafalgar Street... More

We ate at Cafe affair on two separate evenings about a week apart. The food beverages and service were excellent. We shared a starter between us had a main course and a desert, all excellent. The first occasion was mid week and we were seated downstairs as it was not very busy, the second occasion was a Friday evening very... More

Pleasant bar food tavern. The restaurant was very accommodating to our various members food allergies. I don't know. How many ways can you prepare fish & chips? A little heavy on the batter. My fish was sauted and was decent. The diners who ordered the rib eye were satisfied but you know how those carnivores are.

We dined here on the 29th of November. The service was great. Staff very friendly. The food was amazing. I don't know if the 'tomato sauce' is homemade but it is the bomb! I had fish of the day (I order fish everywhere I go, worldwide) and this was hands down the best fish I have ever had. So delicate... More

Took a family member here for a dessert and coffee. Although the dessert, coffee and service were good I think that the meal was a bit on the pricy side.

Oh what a difference eating here was, to eating at the Pub next door last night! The food was tasty, fresh and well cooked. I had the Prawn Taco main and DH had the fish of the day ( Gunnard served with bacon wrapped asparagus, rocket salad and cooked beet) it was delicious- I tasted it!! We had puddings, a... More

I had a business meeting there and we shared platters, the food was great, gluten free and vegetarian options are available. The best thing happened afterwards as I forgot my business tablet there. I was travelling through and on my way back to CHC so asked them to ship it to me which they happily did and wouldn't even accept... More

Bacco is the Roman God of Wine, Bacco Restaurant and Wine Bar changed its name from Café Affair in October 2016. We are a premium wine bar/restaurant with an Italian/European spin to our dishes. We are all about fresh, local ingredients where possible and we have a food matching our premium wines philosophy. Bacco has a wine club and holds Degustation dinners bi-monthly.
