Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Outstanding good curry ! Just walked in and got a table, and also had a special offer on to get a (the second) main for free ! Good service, and good value for money, outstandingly good.

We used to live near and always used the curry house. We decided to go for New Year’s Eve and the food and staff were again great and we had a very enjoyable evening. I always book via email and get a confirmation email from...them but twice now, both for this New Year’s Eve and last years that when we turn up they don’t have our booking? It doesn’t fill me with confidence as it’s a busy night. Please look into this.More

We arrived at 5:35 pm. Yes they where delayed due to traveling issues. But we where seated and then had to wait for them to bring the food and wine menus. But while we were waiting there where Takeaways being sent out. We did say...that we had to be out for 7;00pm to go to the Traditional Carol Concert in the Market Place. We had 3 attempts to get a bottle of Red Wine off the wine menu. I then asked if we could order our food but we had to wait to wait again. We then ordered our food and the only thing we can say is that the food was perfect.More

We are sorry for the inconvenience that caused the delay of the service, it was genuinely travel issues, but we are happy you did enjoy the food. Thank you!

Tried them for the first time this evening. We had a takeaway delivered. The Biriyani mix was really delicious. We also had chicken bhuna, Peshwari naan, saag aloo and some other bits. We enjoyed every dish we tried. They were fresh, the meat was cooked...well and was very tender. The peshwari naan was huge. We will definitely order from here again.More

Myself and my partner had a lovely curry this evening; chicken tikka rogan Josh, chicken tikka Jalfrezi, quarter chicken, starter platter and much more and everything was absolutely gorgeous! We haven’t long moved into our new house and it’s been amazing finding this hidden gem!...We can’t wait to visit in person! Great value for money!More

Jeera is a lovely restaurant in the middle of Codnor, the only non-takeaway that offers South Asian cuisine in the village. That isn't to say that you can't get a really good takeaway from Jeera. You can. On fact I saw quite a few delivery...drivers coming and going with bags full of delicious food. The food we enjoyed during out dining experience was lovely. Paneer Shashlik and Chicken Chaat made up our starters and these were exceptional. The chaat in particular was really enjoyable, as I have never had it before and it was a very pleasant new experience - one I shall be repeating on my next visit to Jeera. A prawn korma and a chicken tikka shashlik follwed as main course and these, like the starters were exceptional. The portions were massive and we struggled (and ultimately failed) to complete our meal, much to my chagrin the next day, when I would have given anything to have that food sat in front of me. The prawns in the korma (a type of curry that does NOT feature on their menu, but can be asked for) were the size of pillows and the accompanying sauce was perfect for someone like myself that cannot handle any real spice/heat. The chicken tikka shashlik looked great too and I was assured that it was. The staff are lovely and it is great to see young people from the immediate locality being employed there. Jeera has been going since 2005 I believe, and ultimately you do not survive that long in that industry unless you are doing something right, and these guys are definitely doing plenty right. Give them a go and I am confident you will not leave disaapointed.More

We strolled into Jeera, a group of 5 members of The Curry Club return for a fortnightly Indian cuisine critique, filled with booze and fantastic service. We sat at the table, a purple ambience surrounded us as we gazed into the large yet simple menu...that Jeera had to offer; we all wanted a starter, not without poppadoms first. The poppadoms were accompanied by some fantastic sauces and mixed onion/spicy dishes. We ordered our starters and sat patiently in anticipation for the imminent beauty that was heading towards our taste buds. The starters were absolutely divine; onions and peppers galore baby. The only critique we have on the starter is that there wasn’t more. Mains time, so listen up. We’ve had multiple from here, I’m talking Bengal Ghost, Chicken Sizzler, Imli Sil Sila, Desi Lamb, you name it, we’ve eaten it. All unbelievable, an authentic taste you can only get from the most seasoned Indian chefs. Not only that, the sundries, (rice and naan to you amateurs) were also fantastic. Very fine rice, individual grains of joy, and the naan breads were muchos goodos, fresh as you like, and we particularly recommend the cheese and keema naan. It’s not on the menu but when you’ve got this much clout we can pretty much get anything. Prices were very very good and very very cheap, 125 times more expensive than a £1 fish, for 5 of us with multiple courses and multiple drinks, (RIP Adam, a long time sufferer of alcoholism)and overall we would have collectively paid more. Fantastic. Would return. Food hygiene rating through the roof too. What’s not to love?!More
