Went there 5 years ago & as locals were reminded why we haven't been back! Bland overpriced food, not just poor but bad service! Won't be back. Capers is a poor representation of all the other great places to eat in The Whitsundays.

Hubby had the mini big breaky which was more than enough. The smashed avo n Fett a was one of the best I've had. Had to order at counter but the rest was bought to our table...pretty good service

Being on a relatively tight budget, but having promised ourselves one dinner out in Airlie Beach, we settled on Capers having passed by earlier in the day. The attraction for us was the 'special offer' on mussels of 'buy one get one free'. Perhaps a sign of what was to come, was the fact that none of the afternoon staff... More

We took the tempura snapper and chips (basically fish and chips). At 28 A$ a plate we expected high quality and decent portions. The quality was not bad - although I had bones in one of my pieces of fish, so the flitting was not so good. But the size of the portions was really small - 2 small pieces... More

So due to the nice location of this restaurant, we thought we would enjoy a nice cold beer and watch the world go by, so we asked the batman what sort of beers he would recommend? Well he was rude and impatient, which was weird because there weren't any other people waiting to order drinks. When we settled for a... More

Needed somewhere close by our accommodation to have breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Corn Fritters were very tasty and my husband's pancakes looked amazing. Some reviews said they were a but pricey but I think the prices were quite reasonable in comparison to others. Coffee was excellent.
