At a cost of $120 for a half lobster you would think they would know how to cook it. It came out burnt from the griller, was way over cooked, dry and tasteless-with no meat in the tiny legs. The waiter was professional with my complaint until he asked me how I would cook it!! The entrees my wife and... More

Had a nice dinner here with a girl friend over the Apollo Bay Seafood Festival weekend. Restaurant was absolutely packed yet we still had wonderful service from a lovely European waiter with glasses (did not catch his name unfortunately) – water glasses never empty and some fun banter as well while waiting for the orders since the kitchen was swamped.... Surprisingly upmarket restaurant for a beach holiday. Service was friendly, efficient and helpful. Food was in keeping with the surroundings, i.e./ smart. We had the barramundi - soft and meaty. They didn't ruin this, which is so easy to do. Oysters - fresh and succulent Seafood linguini - lots of stuff and deliciously made Fancy night out after the beach... More

We were sold on the seafood platter and also ordered a beer and wine. The platter was expensive but the seafood was fresh and very tasty. The platter was $200 and had 1/2 dozen oysters (fresh), 1/2 dozen mussels done in a tomato salsa style broth, scallops done in garlic (huge and juicy), cured salmon, grilled fish, fresh and cooked... Well ! Not a good start when ordering some wine. A glass costs a third of a bottle price. Normally in Aus it's about a quarter or a fifth. I asked the waiter - how big is a glass ? He had no idea. His mate came over and said 230 ml. I asked for a glass and got a... More

The prices are a rip off, service is less than average. Starters were served before we got our drinks. Unfortunately it seems to be normal for Apollo Bay. The whole village is expensive and dominated by poor quality.

We wanted to give the vista seafood restaurant another try as we did think it had potential last time we were visiting Apollo Bay. Sadly nothing has changed. Service was lack lustre to say the least. Quality of food offered would lead me to believe it is overpriced by around 10 bucks or so for a main meal. My advice....head... More

This restaurant is terrible. Over priced, poor value. We had dinner there tonight and we feel abused at the poor value for money ! Don't have the Crayfish - a total rip off. You have been warned ! Stay away.

Menu looked good but came to order and wine was very expensive plus cheapest red $35 AUD was out of stock so had to order $50 bottle. Then people on next table sent back food as it was still raw. In the end our food was great but I think it's over priced and needs more attention to detail.

This restaurant is located on a corner with the beachfront across the road, it also offers indoor and alfresco dining. As we walked in was spied one couple eating bbq'd lobster - yum The menu surprised we shared an entree, each had bbq'd lobster and we shared a desert. The wine list is also good and features some very good... More
