We loved our delicious lunch at Wasabi Restaurant on Sunday! We arrived early which wasn't a problem. It's such a pretty setting and every detail from the unique serving platters and unusual cutlery and decor is carefully considered. Wonderful service with an intelligent waiter who suggested an incredible unique wine which was so delicious and complimented our meal beautifully. Each... More

Had the Omakase 7 course which was interesting and different. Small portions as to be expected. Don't bother if you are a big eater or on a budget. Atmosphere was noisy but service good. Male French waiter was great the rest looked shy and nervous. Overall glad we went as we had. Wen recommended but probably wouldn't return as for... More

This may be Queensland's best Japanese restaurant but in my opinion is probably only a good to very good restaurant, rather than anything outstanding . We had the omakase so had a good range of their dishes. If you love Japanese food- go to Japan. Their wine matches were interesting, most were good. However, one wine was a smoke tainted... More

My partner and I along with my two adult children visited Wasabi for dinner. We all loved the food, couldn't fault this modern Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere was great and wonderful service. A little pricey, but worth the experience.

One of our favourite places to eat in Noosa. Great food. However we had an off-putting experience with the wine waiter. We were dining with our daughter and when the wine arrived he immediately removed her glass. When we asked her if she would like some, he very curtly asked to see her ID. She produced it - she's 30... More

Wow! Highest of quality in food and service. From amazing sashimi to lamb belly and Japanese plum wine, one of the best Japanese restaurants we have experienced Australia wide. Will be back for sure. Worth every cent!

Since when did fine dining start with a 20 minute wait after you've been seated to be acknowledged (no eye contact, no "will be with you in a second", no explanation of the experience or the restaurants heritage) by the wait staff.......we did not feel welcome nor looked after, took the staff a long time to warm up on an... Wonderful and creative Japanese cuisine in Noosa. Fresh ingredients from local farmers. Service is excellent. Great spot overlooking Noosa river or private room.

Went for a birthday dinner in October and Wasabi has maintained its reputation as one of the best regional restaurants in Australia. This is proper Japanese so if you are after a teriyaki chicken this isn't for you. Amazing local seafood and all dishes are explained to you. Dinner options of 3 course (2 entrees out of the 10 offered... More

We revisited Wasabi after a wait of four years since our last trip to Noosa. We have recommended this restaurant to so many people .When we were last here we came back two days later because we loved the whole experience so much. So we are all fired up and really excited. We had the most amazing waitress who was... More

I am glad you enjoyed your waiter’s service and you found the Sommelier knowledgeable and charming. He does taste a lot of wine in order to obtain this knowledge and to be clear, it is not your wine he is tasting, it is ours. The Sommelier is checking the wines first at the Sommelier’s table and then pouring your portion.... More

Description
Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
