There is a great menu available at the Lion and Lamd, it’s not far from the airport, and that makes it super convenient. The staff are very friendly and the owners are amaizing. Highly recommend it!

Fiendly Pub offering food for all the family at a reasonable price and well presented. We went mid afternoon on a Saturday and we're still cooking food.

Visited on the way to the airport with friends. So we could talk we asked to sit in the restaurant area, we were told by the bar staff that it’s an additional £2.50 each to sit on a laid up table...... We agreed however the...More

I’m reasonably local and so have visited this place quite frequently. All in all it’s probably the best overall pub in Takeley / Little Canfield that one can visit and certainly not a bad option if you are looking to get something to eat. PROS...More

Tired old pub, decor is original 1970s. Food is clearly frozen and reheated, but worst of all, I found a long blonde hair in my meal halfway through eating, that is not acceptable. Hair nets must be worn in food preparation areas to avoid this...More

During the long hot spell we decided to keep cool by cycling at a modest speed along the Flitch Way. Cool because of the shade of the overhanging trees and bushes. The Lion and Lamb is always a good place to aim for and we...More

The plan was to stop for lunch at the M11 services but this pub looked inviting, so I called in. It is a traditional English pub with an outside area if you want it. The open fire wasn’t lit but must be lovely when it...More

You can always tell what a place is going to be like when you park and go in. The hanging baskets, flower tubs etc. were all dead and the outside of the pub is in need of livening up. This reflects inside where it is...More

Visited a couple of weeks ago and sat in the garden. It was disappointing to see dirty plates hadn’t been cleared and covered in flies. We had to move them ourselves. Broken furniture and random chairs dotted around. Wine very expensive and tasted quite rough....More

Very quiet pub, but the food was good especially if you like your fish. It was four of us for Sunday lunch, two had the skate, which was very tasty so they said. Another had the roast beef lunch, also a winner, and I had...More
