We had the best, and I mean the BEST meal of our lives last night! The freshest most succulent melt-in-your-mouth seafood dishes prepared by Rafa and served by Rosa. I have one word that sums up the food...SUBLIME. It's simply prepared on a Planxa (a cast iron griddle)... just a little salt, a little olive oil and a whole lotta... More

Grilling a fish in a good and memorable way is not easy. Once somebody told me that a little place in roses made the beat grill fish in the word. I thought it was an exaggeration of catalan food extremism (for catalans ferran Adria has to have a nobel prize). I tried it yesterday. He was right. The best grill... More

Recommended by a Catalan friend, we went with knowledge that Rafa's was considered one of the world's best seafood restaurants. Whilst we don't have experience to rate it like that, Rafa served us the best seafood dishes we've ever had. We're from a seafood island and I learnt that I'd been eating poorly cooked seafood most of my life.

Got a table next to the kitchen so got live entertainment along with the exquisite food. Choose your fish from the seafood counter. Some are more suitable for sharing due to size. Remember to ask about side dishes because there is no menu (except for the extensive dessert menu and the adequate wine menu). Drove more than an hour to... More

The food is very fresh and delicious, but we made a mistake: As there´s no menu, we asked for the recommendations and it was all very very expensive for what it was. It is a local, simple restaurant, and we never thought that the seafood we had would cost as much as it did.

On the recommendation of a local, we went to this retaurant hoping to enjoy a seafood lunch. We sat down at a table and were ignored for quite some time. When the waitress/owner finally came to our table ,we asked to see a menu and we were abruptly told that they don't provide menus and the only choice was fish... More

This is the place to go if you like fish. I have never had better tasting, fresher fish than here. There is no menu and while some here have complained about that, keep in mind that if you want to serve what the sea brings you every day fresh you do not have a printed menu. The service is very... Do not be put off by the fact of no menu : they cook what the boats bring in that day and the very nice waitress takes you through the list in good English - pointing out when things are expensive ( sea cucumbers for example). Ask for the prices if you are worried. We had delicious razor clams and... More

We went to this restaurant as I saw some excellent review. Firstly there is no menu - don't fall into this trap! The waitress is rushing around. When she comes over to explain what is on offer (in perfect English) there is no mention of prices. When my husband asked how much the large grilled prawns were each her understanding... More

Having been given the job to find places to eat for the holiday this restaurant was added to the hit list . . . definitely helped by the fact that Adrean from El Bulli ate here on a regular basis. Did it disappoint . . . No, not in the slightest!! I have to admit though that it was a... More
