The quality of food and service is second to none. The location and parking facilities are spot on. I do not understand some of the negative comments, why do they not take it up with the management at the time as they seem very approachable?...More

Both stayed at the pub and attended a funeral wake. The staff were very friendly on arrival. The double very especially is very tastefully decorated and spacious. The twin beds weren't quite so comfortable in the other room but still got a reasonable night's sleep....More

Although disappointed that you didn't personally enjoy your meal, it would have been nice for you to have mentioned it to one of the waiting staff so we could have rectified the issue on the day. Our beef is not cheap, it is home farmed...More

Hi John. I reckon the Mermaid is an excellent choice, the landlady, Karen is very attentive and the food Is excellent, she has two chefs, who prepare it all fresh and the beef is from their own farm. Good luck.
