We visited on a weekday on our way down the M4. The pub is only a few minutes from the motorway so ideal for a lunch stop. Welcome was good and service efficient and friendly. Food was good - we had a pie and the...More

I went to the Great Shefford with some friends for a celebration and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The pub is directly on the river Lambourn which runs outside the window. Such a quaint little place with a calming vibe. The food was amazing, especially the...More

Called in during a cycle ride and were warmly welcomed. Inventive menu and great service. A world away from the last visit under previous ownership which was dire.

I’m not sure where to start, and I see the reviews are already excellent so they may not need my praise! Briefly then, very friendly service with humour, great food, from stater to pudding. Great beers (we tried all five real ales!). Prices very reasonable....More
