We came to have a nice dinner, however my dish - blueberry sauce and dumplings was not tasty not even nice to observe, it came in a deep dish like a soup, horrible. I do not recommend it al all as it was far from the bluenerry taste. Vegetarian dish of my friend look better but not tasty as well, simple dish for very high price. A few year ago whe we visited the might have had another chef!!

Once you go through to the patio, you can sit and eat right on the waters edge under the view of the castle; it's a lovely picturesque location and is a major selling point. The menu is traditional and has some good fish dishes at good prices. I had carp, which was very bony, but well cooked and seasoned. The potato was a bit flavourless, but in all it was a filling lunch and with speedy service, which was needed as our tour didn't provide much time for lunch. The Czech dark beer, as always, was delicious. I can't imagine there is much difference between the many restaurants in this small town, but the view definitely sets this one apart from any of those further in.

In a hole in the wall, there lives a great little restaurant. We were practically alone in there, and got the full attention of the waitress who I suspect was also the owner and the cook. The food was unbelievable, and the environment very rustic, almost medieval.

Although the menu lists a nice variety of vegetarian dishes, the execution and presentation were well bellow average. Potato pancakes were 2 heaps of course ground, lukewarm dried potatoes, 1 cottage cheese dumpling with blueberry sauce served in a small deep dish for 120Kč was very disappointing, baked millet with veggies was too dry around the edges, the gulash was so so and my trout with wine and rosemary was the worst I have ever had in my life - tasteless, dry, no flavor, just awful. Not one dish tasted fresh. Given that we paid over 1200 Kč for our lunch ( including 1 beer and 1 glass of wine ) I would strongly discourage visiting this establishment if you are hungry. It is fine for a quick drink and great location right by the river, our grandkids enjoyed watching the rafts and canoes floating by.

Great rustic authentic food. I chose the vegetarian Bohemian Feast, kind of a tasting menu of the a la carte menus. Really enjoyable, particularly the potato cakes. It’s not often I praise vegetarian dishes (Am an omnivore), so that says something! Reasonable price, and the location by the river! Plus polite professional services. I can’t recommend this place high enough!

Great place with a nice atmosphere. The service was excellent , our waiter was reqlly nice. We enjoyed it so much that came back on the next evening, too. Unique menu, it’s not easy to find vegetarian food in Cesky Krumlov, but this place has a wide range of vegetarian ( and vegan!) options , not only fried cheese. And all the dishes were czechish, that’s what we enjoyed the most

We wanted to have a dinner with my wife. When we entered they sent us to a bigger table which is for 6 persons. Later the manager asked the waitress not to occupy a big table for only two persons so they sent us to a hidden place, separated from other tables. After that noone showed up for 20 minutes. So we were simply forgotten. So we left without being asked if we want to drink or eat. When we left, l we have seen another couple sat at our previous table. Very bad experience.

We had good food tonight at U Dwau Maryi restaurant. We both had a large lunch and so my cabbage soup with bread and my my husband's smoked meat and sauerkraut hit the spot for us. But what really made this restaurant stand out was the friendliness of the staff. We came just as they were finishing with a group of something like 50 but they found a space for us and when the group left offered us seats right at the water front. It was delightful and much appreciated.

The place is very traditional and for sure you will get what you pay for. However, the food was pretty average and the presentation not really appealing. The lady that was our server was nice, so my three stars are more because of her and the spot than the food. Not recommended if you are expecting to have a more gourmet food, but if you are really looking to eat like a local, probably this is the place to go.

I can’t say enough great things about this establishment. Our tour guide took us there for lunch. You enter through a small door and head up the steps. Without the guide one would have difficulty even finding this treasure. There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place which makes the environment even more unique. It is very Medeival in nature. I can’t say enough about the food, the cheap prices, the wait staff who were friendly and very helpful. I had the smoked meat (ham) with potato dumplings and cabbage. It was fantastic, and cheap. My only regret is that I didn’t have the garlic soup that one of the other guests had. I highly recommend this place. It’s a do not miss while in Cesky Krumlov!

Our guide took us to the unassuming place for lunch. I could not have found it otherwise and for that I am thankful. Being a vegetarian, I was not sure what I could eat in Cesky Krumlov other than pizza. And much to my delight, this restaurant has a vegetarian section in the menu. The baked millet casserole was simply delicious and quite filling. I wish I had had the time to try all the other items. The service was prompt and very friendly. Truly worth a visit

We stopped here for lunch on a day trip in the quaint city. Love it! Such a beautiful town! This restaurant was off the beaten path- on the river with good authentic Czech food. We sat outside - a bit chilly but they provided blankets which were great. We had traditional chicken, duck & ham dishes with schnitzel & kraut plus mulled hot wine to drink. Wonderful lunch!

We had Bohemian Feast with rabbit meat. Meat was soft, food and beer were good. Also service was good. Clerk was thoughtful, kept tracking if there was anything we needed. But people visiting here should aware that this restaurant accepts "cash only".

This place has such an old school charm. Everything from the decor, the music, the food and service. We had the rabbit feast for 2 which was delicious and felt like a traditional bohemian meal. It’s in an ideal spot overlooking the city river. It’s definitely a place which suits Cesky Krumlov!

The seating outside by the river and with a castle view is beautiful. The food was mediocre - stodgy mix of potatoes and dumpling, overcooked and dry rabbit with no sauce or even herbs, and a lukewarm soup as a starter. Better to just come and sit down for a drink
