I popped into this cafe three times -- twice for hot chocolate (it's wonderful) - and once for lunch. Lunch was very nice. I had a small salad and potato pancakes and they were really good. More to the point, my picky companion was very happy with her choice. There is only one server and she manages a lot of... More

My husband and our friend ordered the salmon and they can't stop talking about how good it was. The sundried tomatoes that goes with it was a big plus, too. I had the grilled Forelli and it was very good, too. No "fishy" taste at all. We've enjoyed the ambiance, too - the decorations that they have around the restaurant... More

Pork loin was first rate and tender. Soup of the day -- kraut soup (a first for me) was excellent. Owner was very friendly. Feels like a cozy cave.

Picked this place because not every restaurants in Cesky Krumlov took credit cards - service was okay and staff were attentive, but the food was way too savoury, we felt a bit sick after the lunch. House wine was okay too given its price.

Second time we visited Cesky Krumlow and Don Julius Restaurant. Still a nice and original place, good local food but the waiter forgot to put our order through. No problem, can happen, but it would be so much nicer to own up to it and compensate somehow. We were now lead to believe it was because our order was complex... More

I was visiting Cesky Krumlov on October 19, 2016, on an excursion with our Avalon Waterways river cruise. Our guide, Harald, recommended Don Julius restaurant, and was he ever correct! The food, especially the soup, was deliciously prepared. We were greeted warmly, and luckily for us, they spoke English. Everyone in our group of 8 was highly pleased. Just one... More

One of the best traditional Czech meals I had on our trip, I greatly enjoyed the beef with cranberries and cream sauce. Also loved the decor and the story that goes with the place. Great experience!

Food was not great but they sure do serve large portions. I prefer higher quality and smaller portions. Wait staff is not especially professional or attentive. House wine was barely drinkable.

We enjoyed this place very much; surprised it wasn't busier. I had the Old-Bohemian style pan with roasted duck and pork loin, smoked meat, selection of dumplings and sauerkraut. Service was excellent....took a little while to get our check. I think they were hoping we'd stay and order more adult beverages!
