This place is a rare find in Prague where truly great Italian food is hard to come by. Authentic Tuscan food and good wine at a reasonable price makes this place well worth a visit. If only the light weren't so bright. It takes away a little bit from the great atmosphere.

I booked this restaurant based on a recommendation in the Superguide. I was not disappointed. From the moment I walked through the door, I had an excellent experience. I was greeted by one of the owners who pointed out to me that the menu was on chalkboards on the wall. She reviewed the menu with me (since it was in... More

Ate at this place many times, never were disappointed. Great food, great service. Highly recommend as best in Prague. Greetings to the lady in the kitchen, she does miracles and the server just multiplies your experience. Book in advance!

It was definitely a mistake not ordering the pasta.. we went for a nice evening meal and reserved beforehand which I would recommend. Not being that hungry and wanting to try a selection of things we went for the prosciutto and an antipasti board for 2 to share. The prosciutto was fine but the antipasti was a major disappointment. It... More

As soon as you get in, the smell of freshly cooked seafood hits you in the face. There is a cosy sitting area by the door and the rest of the restaurant is pretty small which gives a nice homely feeling. Excellent food and service. Will definitely come back!

Excellent restaurant near to Krymska. Every single time I have been there I was delighted with what I ordered. Always fairly priced. Truly mediterranian touch, great service, nice atmosphere, amazing chef!

The owner is apparently half Czech and half English while having lived in Tuscany for many years. His interpretation and selections were well done. We started with Antipasti Misto featuring a fennel sausage topped cake of polenta; three types of salami and other treats. Second course was Rigatoni Amatriciana Excellent flavor, perfectly al dente, but a tad oily for me.... More

I had the best pasta ever. Good service and table was arranged even though we had no reservation. Nice and romantic atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation for a table.

Osteria Da Clara is a small, cosy restaurant in a suburb of Prague but only 15 minutes from the centre by tram(22,4),bus(135)or car.We specialize in regional italian cuisine, notably tuscan where the chef/owner lived for a few years. You will find many well known tuscan dishes on the menu such as Crostini,Pappa al pomodoro,Ribollita,Pici,Tagliatelle al ragu,Peposo etc..but often there will be some dishes influenced from Sicily,Puglia,Lazio, favourites of the chef.Twice a week, fresh fish and seafood arrives from the adriatic,so you can savour Zuppa di Cozze,Spaghetti allo scoglio or whole sea bream/sea bass/umbrina roasted in the oven with herbs and fennel.Often fresh tuna is available and a few times a week freshly made pasta(ravioli/tagliatelle/pici)is on offer.Desserts are home made. Our wine list covers differant parts of Italy with a majority from the tuscan area.We try to offer a family, friendly service and atmosphere to our guests, our philosophy is for people to feel comfortable and at home,we gladly welcome children and accept dogs.We are currently closed on sundays, but possibly will open for lunch in the near future. If you want simple, good food made with passion, using quality ingredients and olive oil, plus very agreeable and affordable wines with in formal service Da Clara could be for you!
