I can only speak for my Wife and I who ended up in here on our last night in Prague purely as it was close to our hotel. The saddle of Venison I had was nothing short of excellent and the apple strudel finished off the meal. We were originally presented with a menu that didn't contain any venison dishes,... More

We had very tasty food and good service in nice atmosphere. The prices where nearly half of another restaurant down the road! Clean toilets. Would be back if around here again.

We've eaten all over Czech in three separate visits and we've never seen worse attitudes from waiters as at this expensive place. The prices are double outside the city, the food is average, and at the end you find out they don't take credit cards. Please don't subject yourself to this place!

I would not recommend eating here, even although it is recommended on some official Prague sites. We walked some distance to get to it and the walk was lovely as this part of Prague is well worth a visit. But don't go in here. Three reasons: 1 The waiting staff are very miserable and give the impression that they'd rather... More

Stopped here for lunch while touring the Loreta - Castle area, but discovered their inside (dinner) menu included venison, and couldn't resist: the venison pâté was fine, but the saddle of venison in a wine sauce was spectacular - I'm a fan of venison and this may have been the best I ever had.

We ended up here as it was close to our hotel. I had the goulash which had plenty of flavor. My hubs had the risotto which was cooked to perfection. The desserts are divine! Service was quick enough. The restaurant itself is very pretty....very Czech and quite cozy.

We had a lovley walk in the castle area and it has just started raining so we have decided to get in this place to have a beer and maybe some snack as well. The waiters were really unfriendly, we didn't see the menu (they asked if we would like some beer in the moment we entered). 2 small beers... More

Great service, lovely food, good wine and great value considering it is a stone's throw from the castle gates. Highly recommended escpecially if the weather is nice enough to sit out on the terrace!

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
