We went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend that lived in Prague and we were not disappointed in any way. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated like family. The restaurant looks small but it is actually quite large with plenty of seating in the back. All the rooms are brightly decorated with fun and interesting artwork. The food was everything that you could ask for and all of it was delicious and moderately priced. All of the food was great but the service and the atmosphere were what makes this place stand out. Go! You won't be disappointed.

This is a delicious restaurant for anyone craving some Serbian/Croatian food (e.g. cevapcici). The service is absolutely second to none - you are made to feel like royalty immediately once you enter the restaurant.
The surroundings are so colourful and memorable that you will definitely be mesmerised by it and will spend half of your time in the restaurant studying it all!

Found this place during our stay in Prague as tourists. So glad we did! Interesting interior, real birds inside (in cages), many different rooms with a lot of stories and items taking your attention. Very good service and food. Very variable menu, good for vegans and vegetarians. I've ordered Risotto and was happy to see that it was prepared with wild mushrooms (not champignon). Smelled and tasted delicious.

My son had been living in Prague for five months and was keen to visit Lika Lu. Our visit was a good opportunity to try it out though sadly we left feeling disappointed. First impressions were good as the restaurant is full of vibrant colours and quirky furniture and we were pleased to be able to eat in the courtyard. As we had a plane to catch we only had time for mains. I had the lamb under the suck-bake which was very salty and rather fatty so it wasn't something I can say I enjoyed. My wife had the chicken breast with the mozzarella and described it as bland. My son had really enjoyed the Čevapčičis he'd eaten in Bosnia so he was keen for those, but again they just didn't deliver on taste or enjoyment. Service was patchy and for what we'd eaten the food was costly. Disappointing all round!

Wandered into Luka Lu not sure what to expect. Preferring a local experience, it looked like a real possibility. We chose a table out front so that we could people watch. Upon excellent advice from our waiter, we ordered two different pastas, both cooked to perfection and we loved every bite.
When we finished and asked for the bill, we struck up a conversation with this proficient young man and he offered to give us a tour of his family’s restaurant, a real treat.
Ah ha, don’t be deceived about the size of the place. It could seat 150 people! So many private and interesting spaces to choose from. I’m drawn to the garden area and I’m counting on returning before we leave for San Francisco.
Great fresh food served in well thought out artistic spaces making each visit different and quite special. Thanks Luka Lu, we had a memorable visit!

What a find that we stumbled upon. We loved this place and should have had reservations but they squeezed us in. The staff was amazing and always was smiling which we did not find in other establishments. The food was excellent. I had a huge salad and my husband had an unusual white fish that we had not heard of. We shared a bottle of white wine and could not have been happier. We planned on going back for a second night but didn't make it. Don't miss this place.

My partner and I booked a table for NYE in NOVEMBER, exchanging multiple emails with them, just to be sure that everything was okay. We also asked for the NYEs menu and were provided with it 3 weeks prior to our visit. On the 31st we got to the restaurant and were told that there was NO TABLE booked on my partner's name, providing us with NO alternative/solution, nor they seemed to care whatsoever. They told us that there was a deposit to pay in advance. At no time were we made aware of a deposit, which we would have gladly paid for our reservation. Fortunately, we found another restaurant which saved our night, especially for the professionalism and warm welcome we received... Unlike the Luka Lu restaurant, which dismissed us as quickly as they could. I strongly recommend staying away.

Fantastic food, service and wine. Our waiter (we did not ask his name, but he had a dreadlock) did a great job of recommending food and wine. We ate mussels, octopus, and lamb. It was our last night in Prague, otherwise we would have returned.

This place is highly overrated, the server was as salty as the lamb dish. Sure the decor is different and kitschy but seriously if you cannot tolerate tourists then get a new job. The server was very rude to the table next to us walking away shaking his head at very simple queries. Most servers are short with my friends due to the language barrier but I translate my best for them and yes it takes some extra time but no need to be so impolite.

Before we get to the food, Luka Lu should be on the Prague Instagram bucket list. The decor is colourful, clever and playful and structured to create an immersive fun eating space.
The staff were great and our waiter (possibly Nicolai, he had a single braid) was very helpful in explaining the food philosophy.
He recommended the grilled seafood and we agree. We had the grilled Octopus and prawn skewer and the beef slices for starter. The beef was very good, but the skewer was fantastic. For main we had calamari and more octopus. All the seafood was soft, flavourful with a delicious char to the skin, exactly as it should be.
If you are looking for a memorable Prague food experience go to Luka Lu.

Absolutely fantastic cosy, we enjoyed a lunch in the courtyard, we chose pasta dishes but wished we had chosen grilled dishes when we saw what other guests had. Our pasta was delicious and well prepared, we said yes thanks to the bread that was offered before the dish. (it costs a little). the interior is so fun and exciting to look at. The waiter was very friendly and we had a nice chat about his trip to DK, about the restaurant and their food. the prices very reasonable and we will definitely return when we are in Prague again.

A great restaurant for a friends’ dinner. A very cool decoration, they have good taste!! It is somehow different/alternative and everybody was very nice!!
They have a very complete menu, for different tastes, from seafood to salads and risottos. Personally, i found some small things that could be better in my meal (ex: too much salt in my rice), but that didn’t change my opinion: it must be hard to fulfill everyone’s preferences!!! So… i recommend it!!!
Ps: prices are in the normal range, from 20-30€/px, depending on what you eat and how much you eat.

The food was to die for. It was one amazing experience- decor was really unique and staff cannot do more for you, really attentive , friendly and experienced - have some great suggestions and know their ways.
Definitely on the list for next time as well- portions were great and good value for money.
Book for sure to avoid disappointment.

Came across this restaurant while walking along the main road between Charles Bridge and the Petrin funicular railway and dropped in on the off chance for a lunchtime snack. What a find: amazing quirky decor, friendly helpful staff and good food. Highly recommended.
