Had visited this establishment on my last visit to Prague to view the brewery and sample the beer. This time around they clearly did not want my custom. Sat down was ignored time and time again by waiters walking past ...eventually one deigned to come over. I ordered the 4 taster beers whereupon he went back to cleaning the tables.... More

We were wary of the place - a huge group of Americans came in before us so we figured it was was a tourist trap but we were hungry and the place looked cool so we went for it. We shared a huge leg of ham which was the house special with bread, horseradish and mustard and two big beers.... More

We found this place not far from the main square and booked a reservation. When we were arrived we were amazed at the size of the place. Its like a rabbit warren of basement rooms. We were shown to our room and to a table and given menus. Some here have mentioned pretzels on the table, we saw them but... More

An establishment that caters to locals as well as tour groups. Pivovar is brewery in Czech so the beer is made on site. The food was fantastic and the portions large. In addition, please try the spirits redistilled and made from their beer-Pivovice!

This was the last stop on our lager tour of Prague. I can't therefore comment on the prices as it was part of our tour We were there sampling the lager, which we all enjoyed. You can see the lager vats through some of the windows and there were tours being shown round the brewery part of the building It... More

Very expensive place with very good but expensive beer. They will cheat You on amount You get. I dont get this because they brew theyr own beer so it is pretty cheap for them..

This is a mixed review. The restaurant was very busy, had a good atmosphere and very authentic. The food was lovely, good sized portions, mushroom in particular served in a large bread roll I would recommend. The waiter who served us was very efficient, good customer service with a good sense of humour. The downside was the bill- We had... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
