We booked the tour with tasting platter. It's a little tucked away, and there was a bit of confusion as the staff greeting us didn't seem to be expecting us despite having booked and confirmed the tour. Our tour party was just the two of us, and the girl who showed us round was very friendly and helpful. Then back... More

Original brewery, now a micro-brewery with several seating areas for lunch or dinner in hallways that seem to go on forever, even under the city street. Really a charming early 19th century atmosphere. Great food, service, beer, and all very reasonably priced - a great value. A must go to in this area!

Wonderful venue with plenty of interesting features, not least of course all the copper brewing equipment. Good beer and food

We had a corporative dinner at Novomestsky pivovar. Food was delicious, portions were generous. We had a platter of snacks and a main dish. Platter for four was huge and included cheeses, sausages, baked potatoes and whatever else. Everything was of great quality. For main dish my choice was pork knuckle which I shared and even half of it was... More

We went on a Sunday evening for a few beers. It was not too busy with various sections of the vast spaces inside closed off and we were asked to share a table with a small group of other customers, which was not a problem. The waiter took our orders and our drinks arrived quickly. The same waiter was perfectly... More

This is a huge restaurant/brewery offering Czech cuisine and good beer. I've been here a number of times and really enjoyed my visits.

We've had full dinner for 4 big guys. I assure you, that portions are big and delicious (Eg. Pecheno koleno - 225 Ks) and beer is just amazing. Waiter was such a multi-language gentlemen until we've got the bill. He became as stubborn as a mule, when it came to tips. He asked for a ten percent tips at list... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
