We popped in here after a long afternoon and evening tour of the castle district. We were cold, tired and hungry and this was perfect. Fabulous pizza.

Popped in for a quick drink before going up the funicular and opted to share a pizza (Carmelita) what a pleasure. The pizza was excellent and washed down with a couple of beers made for a great experience. Thanks to the chef and staff.

If you want a break from Czech cuisine, then try this place. Good range of pasta dishes and entrees. We had the spaghetti bolognese and the calamari. Sidewalk seating as well to watch the trams go by. And the staff were very friendly and attentive.

In the mood for Italian we happened upon Carmelita. It's nothing fancy, which is great, but comfortable and with a good menu. I had lasagna and wife had salad. The food was delivered quicky. Pretty ideal evening meal in a good convenient location.

I have to be honest, we stumbled across Carmelita after getting lost looking for another restaurant; but the specials board looked tempting, and it was quite busy for late on a Sunday night so we were tempted inside. We made a good decision! Cosy Italian decor, service was quick and efficient and I had an excellent tasty risotto with king prawns... More

No complaints, pizza great, wine great and fantastic value for money. I'm not going into too much detail as it's unnecessary - I'm just saying what I'd like to see on a review.

After a whole day walk our random entry to here ended up with a huge smile. Nro. 52 Gnocchimaiale all forno ended up to my top 3 pastas ever. Sometimes much cheese is just too much cheese but in this case we stayed just within limits!

Visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions during our stay in the vicinity. The restaurant was cosy and warm with a welcoming atmosphere. Food was tasty. Service was good. One evening we ordered 3 beers, Caprese salad, pizza(which was large) and espresso and the bill came to 548czk (£18 approx). Definitely worth trying.

We stumbled across this place upon our return from the funicular railway. Accesible via trams that run in fron of it. Excellent Ministrone soup; Good basic pizza for a picky teenager and very good four season pizza. Lasgne very good and reasonably priced. Service was fine. Nice coffee and reasonably priced.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
