Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I was a Head Chef many years ago, and simply adore food still. This restaurant is a must when you visit Prague. Such a talented kitchen team, with each station producing some amazing and fresh dishes, with each ingredient caressing my
taste buds. Super attentive and fabulous front of house team too…service, food, wine, timing, decor…it is all 10 stars!!! Well done. A great example of how to get the product spot on…what a pleasure it has been to treated like this. Thank you.

My second visit to Kogo.
Excellently prepared and cooked seafood and steaks, Italian style, with some excellent wines available.
Tonight the huge Antipasto platter was exceptional, highlighted by the perfect home made Humous, wonderfully fresh anchovie fillets, tender beef carpaccio with sweet mustard and juicy red onion, dark parma ham packed with meaty flavour, smoked salmon, stuffed peppers, super crisp green salad leaves and sweet baby tomatos .. overall, an outstanding antipasto selection.
This was perfectly combined with a Gavi white wine and home baked bread rolls.

We had a wonderful meal here this evening! We came about Kogo by chance and decided to try it . We were very impressed! A wonderful selection of dishes we had starters and pasta dishes for main courses they were all absolutely delicious.
The freshly squeezed orange juice is a must and the beer was good too.
The service was also fantastic! Very polite and attentive waiter.
I would definitely return.

We were there with a conference and had a "short menu." I am not vegetarian, but I don't like seafood, and I rarely eat meat. That left me with exactly one out of eight choices on the short menu: mushroom risotto. That could have been okay, but while the other dishes had a variety of sides and were nicely arranged on plates, the risotto was just overly-salted brown mush in a bowl, no side dishes, no salat, no nothing, and most of all: no effort whatsoever. In such a nice, high-class restaurant with great atmosphere and obviously great seafood, please put a little effort into dishes for the occasional vegetarian or flexitarian who gets dragged along.

Well, we did not go with the flow to rave about this restaurant. Maybe just a bad experience for us ? It was frightfully noisy, we could hardly hear ourselves, my wife and I, the waiter had this sort of superior attitude that is usually reserved for fancy restaurants Maître d' in the US and the food was bland. The difference between a (too salty and soggy) mushroom risotto and a (also too salty and soggy) seafood and mushroom risotto ? Two miserable and lonesome small shrimps... The tuna tartar was ok and the avocado and salmon salad, well, bland, except for a very salty smoked salmon and an unripe avocado. Not our best experience in Prag

Rude waiter (the one with the grey hair).
I was today at this restaurant with a business partner/friend without having a reservation. Knowing that I've been a customer of this restaurant since 2000, it wasn't usually necessary to make a reservation. We politely apologized and asked if we can get a table for two for a quick lunch. The rude waiter started lecturing us about the ethics of going to restaurants and to be sure not to do it this way for the next time with a nervous and offensive attitude.
We left without sitting and never will never go back again.
( This attitude was usual 30 years ago in this country but not anymore.

Very tasty pasta with very fresh and authentic ingredients! The plate of antipasto to start the evening was also sublime! It's also great that you can see the chefs working live in the open kitchen, so the delicious aromas make you hungry... Recommended!

Very good dinner with good service in a pleasant environment. Appetizers and main dishes of high quality. Ice cream and warm wild berries for dessert get top marks.
Tasty and well-prepared hot dishes. So much better food here compared to the restaurants we tried on the tourist strip. I would love to visit this one again!
Bang for your buck!

This experience was a 5/5 on all parts. The ambiance was very nice, the service was impeccable and the food was to die for. We had not had the best time finding good food in Prauge and then we made a reservation for dinner at Kogo, it was everything we were looking for and more. We ordered 4 appetizers and wine along with different pasta dishes and everything was delicious. The wait staff were attentive and friendly and made sure everything about our experience was enjoyable. I would highly recommend Kogo if you are looking for a delicious meal.

I visited Kogo Havelska during last 25 years. Always ordered pasta/rucola/krevety. During my last visit I was very disappointed by this dish and informed the restaurant directly. I stay unhappy with restaurant’s answer. P.S. it’s a time to improve service and dishes.

Great casual restaurant with superb food. We went twice in our 4 days in Prague.
Pasta dishes are excellent. The beef tenderloins in Madeira sauce were very good. The potatoes are wonderful. The chocolate molten cake is very good.
Service is friendly and very good. Bathrooms are quite clean. Prices are quite fair.
We were told they are open 365 days a year.

I took a group of Aussie's to Kogo in Prague, absolutely loved it. Top night service was the best, food very good great selection, and drinks went down a treat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. This was the 3rd time I have taken a group to this restaurant allways works well. Cheers and Thanks Mark.

We found Kogo's by chance on our first night when trying to find a different spot which we were recommended. I'm glad we found this instead as it was a great experience. Very modern but comfortable design, with full length windows allowing you to watch the world go by. Well-lit, (I hate guessing what my food looks like), with pristine crockery and glass wear.)
The food was very tasty and had our mouths watering while it cooked in the kitchen before even reaching our table. The only negative comment from our group was they expected chicken supreme to come with a sauce but I believe this is a UK understanding rather than a flaw with the menu.
We enjoyed our experience enough to make a return trip on our last night to finish our holiday and our charming waiter remembered us and our preferences from our previous visit. All round solid experience.

After a full day of touring local souvenir shop (across the street) recommended Kogo’s as a new, up and coming restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience. The gnocchi was just made and literally melted in your mouth and the shrimp Pasta while a bit of heat was very tasty. The service was great and the decor smart and refined. They were prepared for groups large and small (2). Great place to relax and reflect in their warm ambience off the the tourist track. Note good price points for the sophisticated offerings.

We were meant to go elsewhere BUT so glad we changed to KOGO!
Beautiful cocktails, wine, food and delightful service.
If in Prague and you fancy a good Italian, this place is highly recommended by me and my 3 friends who went last night.
We had,Salmon avocado starter, melenzana Parmigiana, bruschetta.
Mains were carbonara, penne Arabiatta, Spinach Ravioli and the octopus! All washed down with a beautiful bottle of Gavi di Gavi 👌🏼

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
