Went for an evening meal, one vegetarian one meat eater. It is a cosy little place, we didn't book but managed to get a table on a Friday night but would recommend booking in advance to ensure you get a table. Spinach crepes were absolutely amazing so full of flavour. Had the goulash with dumplings but struggled to eat it,... More

I had dinner at Maitrea with two friends, and it was the first time any of us had visited the place. We took 2 soups, 1 first plate, 3 seconds, desserts and drinks, so had the chance to try a fairly large part of the menu. I am not a vegetarian but I enjoyed every single dish. Only the mushroom... The place is very beautiful and warm (we were near the kitchen ;p). The waiters are very kind =) I had a goat cheese burger like. It was really delicious. My friends had salad, noodle and burger. My non-vegetarian friend was surprise and so glad with the taste of the veggie steack, he coudln't believe that a non-meat steack could... More

We went to Maitrea on Valentines Day and they managed (just about) to fit us in without a reservation. Great food & service and the decor looks fantastic. Would definitely revisit

Probably the best vegetarian food i have ever had in a restaurant. Starting with drinks ending with a dessert. Service could be a little bit faster but it is a very busy place, very unlikely you will get a table without a reservation so make sure to make one. A must go place for any vegetarians while in Prague.

This is a vegetarian restaurant, with some vegan options. We ate here twice and found the food excellent. The decor and service were also high quality. Some of the menu items that are not vegan could easily be so without difficulty (we were told the guacamole was not vegan, but you don't need any animal products to make good guacamole).... More

This vegan / vegetarian restaurant has good selection of food. The place is cosy. Service professional. However, the price seems to be too high.

Great food. Amazing atmosphere. Perfect for a healthy, delicious meal. Even meat eaters will find it yamy. When I visit Prague I come here every day. The best place to feel fulfilled and with a happy stomach:)

I had the traditional goulash and potatoes and felt that I got to try czech traditional food whilst still being vegan and it was delightful! I'll be returning to try more of the menu. Everything is so clearly labelled with allergens

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
