I sat down with two friends and we simply asked for three flights of the 5 tasting beers. We each chose the 5 kinds we liked. A women waitress came up with three beers not in a flight and we told her we ordered three flights and she condescendingly said "oh hah funny" and dropped the beer on the table.... More

I wish I went here alone instead of with my sisters who don't drink at all. Very cheap beer and wide variety, it is ranging from probably 30-70 czk(€1-€3) for 0.3L or 0.5L, depending on the type of beer. Prague beer museum offers a wide selection of beer, they have probably around 30. They offer free wifi but it can... More

Nice wee bar, not a museum. Good music, friendly staff and a great range of beers. Prices are fair enough, not overly priced like too many joints around the old town.

Really grim. Full of smokers smoking. Great choice of beer I'm sure. Staff arguing badly amongst themselves. Service grumpy, bar guy said don't touch the red wine and no ice available, no baileys either. As the non beer drinking partner not that much choice. Very disappointed. Beer itself was good apparently! No museum element just a very basic spit and... More

Who needs 30 types of beer, when it takes them 20 mins to bring you one? The personnel are mostly foregins and some don't even speak Czech. We were unfortunate to get a really terrible waitress from Kosovo, however another waiter was able to save the situation from time to time. Needless to say that we tipped the him instead... More

Was expecting to find out the history of the beers they have on tap. Music is very genre specific and doesn't cater for everyone. Some of the beers on the menu weren't available. These were more often the ones you would like to taste as they were very different to normal beer. Experience was dull only stayed for half an... More

We visited this in a cold Saturday evening. It isn't much to look at from the outside and the 'museum' bit in the title is a bit of a misnomer, It's bar. it has 30 or so different beers. It's dimly lit, smoke and the music choice is eclectic and sometimes loud. it is very 'studenty'. And it's fantastic. The... More

Czech people are proud of their beers just like Belgian and Dutch people. Actually they have the right for that since there is a history(centuries) behind it and even currently over 200 beer producers exists throughout the country. Here in this museum you can see the history via text and the tools that used to make beers from beginning to... More

Don't be put off by the admission price and remember you will have beers to sample at the end. Small exhibition on the history and method of brewing beer. Some nice artefacts etc. The highlight is the tasting in the cellar bar. 4 different small brewery beers which were excellent. Staff were also helpful and friendly.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
