Word of warning: I used to bring friends and family here all the time when I lived in Prague 1998-2005. Regrettably, I haven't been to the Krcma since. But...this place is/was incredibly cool. They have a roasting grill right in the middle of the restaurant. They only use candle light, so the ambiance really really feels like some cozy country... More

The place is strange. The staff is unkindly. The food ordinary and the place is dark, smelly and strange. Never felt comfortable. Next door is a non-stop bar, what is de facto a part of the same place, where is usually lot of drunk people.

I went to this restaurant for dinner, because I think that the atmosphere fits dinner better. It is an underground restaurant, not so big, maybe for 25 people, medieval style, with a beautiful stone fireplace, lot of candles, dark wood tables, and typical decors. Local people there, not so many tourists. The food is very good, I tried the fried... More

Do not expect any rushed service here, it is a very slow operation. Having said that, the foor is hearty and the portions ENORMOUS. Prices mean it is very good value for money. Expect smoking inside the restaurant though.

When we arrived to this restaurant we were very hopeful that the food was as good as this place looks! It is almost a medival tavern in the look, which definately was looking promising. When we ordered the food however, we were very dissapointed! The Honey and chili marinated ribs had no taste of either Honey or chili, and consisted... More

We went here because we wanted to show interesting "old fashioned" places to our foreign friend (she loved it). The menu is very simple, not very long and has mostly czech traditional food = a lot of pork. It was very tasty and the portions were huge! The interior was lovely and old fashioned - the fireplace in the middle... More

A very nice place, authentic and intimate late in the evening. The food is delicious and prices are fair - highly recommended if you stop somewhere nearby.

When we arrived near this restaurant, we were not sure if it was opened. There was dark inside. We noticed that there were people inside so we went inside. Using steep stairs we get into the dark dungeon, illuminated only by a tiny candles on the tables. Indifferent waiter gave us the menu which was hardly legible in this darkness.... More

On our first night in the city, my husband and I decided to go to this restaurant, from a review on TripAdvisor. If only we were warned how the waiter steals! At the end of the meal (which was good), our bill came. It was for 526 in Czech money. We only had 500's from the airport ATM and paid... More
