We ate dinner here on our first night in Prague. The food was excellent and the prices were even better. Meal for two with appetizer and four glasses of wine was $32! We had beef carpaccio and goulash- both were delicious.

Went here for dinner, thought it was closed first of all, not realizing it was down stairs. Little quiet on our visit, but food was excellent. We had typically Czech food that was warming on this particular snowy evening.

Things just seemed out if place. No people and the menu indicated Czech and Mexican specialties. We sat down for a beer, looked at the menu and decided to leave. You can find far more interesting places a couple of blocks north.

Elegant with humor. Excellent food, reasonable prices. You can eat even at the late nights hours. I like it!

Great menu choice with all dishes translated to English. My party (4) had different choices and each was well presented and plentiful. Clean and interesting seating area and the toilets were very clean and welcoming. Food, drinks and staff could not be faulted.

This place (wouldnt call it neither a restaurant, nor a pub) stands on a famous place, where legend says, that "Faust" flew out through the roof (actually on the corner next door, where there is a pharmacy). I have been there couple of times recently and liked actually two things - one of them was homemade lemonade. The other thing was... More

Restaurant U Fausta is very pleasant place which offers warm and cold dishes including alcoholic and soft drinks. Inside can sit 150 guest, however there is a garden great for nice weather. Very pleasant staff, good prices. One waiter noticed my wife’s flowers and brought her a vase with water without asking. Nice touch. The food we had was very... More

Try the chili goulash! It's great. Very attentive staff, good food and drinks, many locals and a VERY relaxed atmosphere. It's nothing special - but that's what really makes it special!

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
