About
Just a few steps from iconic Prague Castle, the Strahov Monastery Brewery is hidden in a beautiful and historic monastery founded in 1142. Master brewers have been crafting amazing beer here for more than 600 years, and we are proud to continue the tradition. Since the year 2000, we have been brewing Saint Norbert beer at the monastery, and opening the doors of our brewery restaurant and courtyard pavilion to beer lovers from around the world. We named our beer after the founder of the Premonstratensian Order, who have inhabited the Strahov Monastery since the beginning. We brew more than 25 delicious beers at our brewery, using the finest ingredients and brewing methods. And we haven’t forgotten

This looked to be one of the main restaurants in the Strahov Monastery. It was close to the entrance by the road. It looked like the two buildings are for the same place but just different places, 1 for the brewery and the other for...More

There's only two places I visit every time I'm in Prague. This is one of them. New beer Vanocni Special is stronger than I accustomed to, but tastes good. My favourite is still Polotmave, though.

Very rude staff - brews were nice but did not feel welcome. We sat at a table and the barman shouted at us. And then proceeded to verbally abuse us until we moved outside. We then had to wait 25 minutes for menus to arrive,...More

The place is very nice and quiet: in the rush hour you have to wait a little bit for a table but it is worth: the dishes are excellent and the beer selection is limited but of top quality
