Sat on the outside patio after having poked our head into the restaurant this afternoon. Had the unfiltered Jeronym 12 and the Klaster Dark no. 12 - truly tasty! Beautiful day, quiet birds and the monastery chiming bells in the distance. Take the funicular up the Pertrin hill and then walk as far as you can toward the monastery and... More

The monastery is famous for its brewery, so if you are there, come and try their beer!! It's a must!! I'd say, we tried it in various places, but the tastiest one was here!! And the prices are quite cheap, both for food and drinks Good size of the portions btw

Tried all 5 beers on the menu, all were distinct and had their own special charcteristics. Had goulash and apfelstrudel, the food was great!

The only good thing in this restaurant is beer itself, although you have a choice of only 3 basic types of their beer. Prices are higher than average (don't approve that if it's made in monastery). Food is average....nothing special. Expect que for a table, and awful service. Waiter insisted on paying in cash, although they have card equipment. I... More

We have climbed a hill to get there but it was worth it. They have really good craft beer (e.g. original Dark Pale Ale with Sakura leaves). We paid 630 CZK for 2 main courses and 2 beers. The dishes were not gigantic but it was ok.

We came here for lunch while the nearby Strahov library was closed and it was crowded, but we still managed to get seated without a wait (we may have gotten lucky though as groups that came in behind us had to wait). Food was tasty, though nothing overly memorable per se, beer was super fresh, and staff were courteous. As... More

My husband and I ate here a total of three times during our 5 days in Prague. It was very convenient to our hotel, but the food and beer were what kept us coming back. It fills up quickly, and a lot of the tables are reserved, but we always managed to find a spot somewhere. All three meals were... More

Stayed in the Savoy hotel near by and restaurant was our choice twice in a week. Beer is fantastic, you have as well seasonal choices. I tried sakura blossom ale with sweet honeycomb favour and black tea after taste. Food was coming out quick so precooked most of it. But what u need to remember most of CZ dishes take... More

Ordered the veal and asparagus burger which was surprisingly tasty. My husband said the rabbit was delicious. All reasonably priced given it's right next to a top tourist spot.

This place is an absolute nightmare, I never meet in my life a waiter like that. I recommend not to go here. Prague is one of the most wonderful cities in the wold and it is not fair to have this kind of service in the bars and breweries.

Thank Gorka L

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
