I found this place almost by chance because their gelato stall is on the lane next to the Synagogue in Josefov. Turns out to be a fine Italian restaurant, located on the most fashionable street in Prague. I didn’t manage to dine in, but if the gelato is anything to go by, this could be good pick for my next... A superbly centrally located small lunch stop, with outstanding food and good service. A good cross section of light dishes, stunning flavours.

Perhaps it was because the local regional fare restaurants in Prague are so tasty, inexpensive, with generous portions that our outing here seemed off. But my fish stew was blah in a blah sauce, and the amount of seafood was minimal. We had 5 others in our party and all portions were ridiculously small. No tap water was available, you... More

We have eaten here twice before over the years and it was always awesome. They must have changed owners or management because it was terrible this time. When we knew we were going to Prague we made plans to return to this restaurant. When we got there we were very disappointed. We order the T-Bone steak for two. They now... More

Stopped here for lunch while sightseeing in the Jewish section. We ordered a lovely salad and risotto, and both were delicious! We would definitely recommend this for a leisurely, relaxing lunch.

The cafe looks beautiful, but the staff was horrible atittude and the cakes didn't taste that great. The lemonade wasn't even fresh. I would avoid this place, there are better cafes in Prague. Cafe du Paris is a lot better, with friendly service.

We stopped here after reading the menu after a tour of the Jewish Museum. It was a very good experience with friendly, prompt service and good food. The menu was a bit limited with less than ten entrees but both of our choices were tasty. My husband had the lamb chops with spinach in a romesco like sauce and I... More

Located on the Luxury brand Main Street. Has a great selection of cakes and great coffee. The terrace is nice and has comfortable chairs. The desserts are tasty but the waiter had a chip on his shoulder and was a bit rude based on what we usually experience. Overall I am only giving this place few stars for lack of... More

The food in this place is super delicious, we had a great service from the waiters and we liked it so much that we went 3 times in our visit to Prague. They have one of the best cappuccinos that I ever had worldwide, their food is not cheap but is great quality, I will go back without hesitation.

Staying in Josefov

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefov
Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small neighbourhood centered around Široká street is completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small enough that a person could touch the houses on both sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this neighbourhood carries in its legacy as Franz Kafka’s birthplace. Nearby streets are full of kosher restaurants, museums and antique bookstores.
