We did not try the beer here but the wine is excellent and also good value. The toilets are very clean and the hospitality extended to us (we... More

Very sympathetic small wine tavern with a tiny garden behind offering a large choice of excellent Czech & Moravian wines as well as some good beers that you hardly could find elsewhere, all for very reasonable prices. And if you have time, you can get there a genuine Swiss cheese fondue ("ready-made"). The tenant is very friendly and counsels you... More

So my Czech politics professor (who rumor has it was a Communist spy) brought our class here to present our papers at the end of the semester. This is probably the best and worst presentation I've ever done since he bought our class at least 3 bottles of wine for each table as well as some lovely cheese plates. Suffice... More

Vinarna U Svate Anezky is a very small (4 tables) wine bar specializing in regional Czech/Moravia wines meticulously described and served by the owner. Located on a very quiet short street in the middle of the Jewish Quarter. Atmosphere dwells on photos of Allied pilots and planes from WWII. The wines were quite good and served with enthusiasm. In addition,... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
