Found this restaurant and so glad we did. The food was really lovely, the staff very welcoming and friendly and the place was so atmospheric. We had two main courses, two sides and four beers all for £14.66, totally amazing. Would go back in a heartbeat, loved it.

Very good local pub/restaurant, beers are very cheap, the food is good with very large portions, full of locals.

Karluv Sklep is exactly the place what represents the word "pub". I bet you won´t find a place where you could get an excellent Czech beer (PilsnerUrquell) for a better price. Cuisine is typical Czech and not expensive as well. Service is swift and nice. Karluv Sklep also fits for a good quick lunch (for less than 100,- CZK). Suitable... More

This place has a lot of local people drinking and eating. The prices are remarkably low but the quality was good (a tad on the fat side though). Can really recommend this place. But do note that a lot of people will smoke inside this restaurant

The food is not so good, but not bad too. Too fat but ver nice if you really want to eat a lot. The main advantage here is the price, you can eat for 100 KC and this is better than the asiat food you can find everywhere

I've been there with my family for dinner, we had one main dish each, four beers + water and we paid something around 17€. The pork steak was really nice and the wiener schnitzel too. The gnocchi dish was just ok, but all in all I would really recommend this restaurant.

Excelent food, amazing cost/benefit ratio, very nice service. Every thing we ate was very good. Even though it is a smoking restaurant the smell wasnt so bad.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
