We visited the restaurant on Saturday at noon with a company event, there were eight of us. Due to the size of the restaurant, a reservation was not necessary. They brought the food in a reasonable amount of time, it was imaginative, tasty and reasonably priced. I recommend.

This restaurant serves traditional Czech food and International cuisine with house specialities such as Pork Nuckle which many people were ordering. If you take the underground line 'A' to Museum, it's then a 10 minutes stroll along the Avenue. Quiet area just off the central span. Friendly and welcoming entry however the decor is a little more like a 'Canteen' than a restaurant. This is a traditional restaurant style and many locals were eating here aswell - always a good sign I guess. Don't expect a romantic atmosphere though, however as an evening meal for two or a group it's just fine. The menu is good, however for vegetarians like myself, a little limited but in saying that, the food was very good and tasty at reasonable rates considering it's location, but it is off the tourist trail. Service was quick and efficient. The waitress explained the food and drinks in perfect English, which was a help as some of the meals are some what obscure! My partner had duck leg with potato dumplings, the duck was fine but he wasn't too impressed by the fairly bland Potato Dumplings - may be give 'em a miss! I had Czech fried cheese. It was okay, nothing so special though. The soups are very good and tasty, worth a try. We didn't eat pudding as we were so full! The beer is cheap and very good however some of the options are odd, like a glass of beer froth called 'Milk'!!! Worth a try and good food/service. Disappointed with the atmosphere and the vegetarian options but we did have a reasonably good evening. Not a lot of places to go outside so we haeded back to the New Town area.

Was staying nearby and not disappointed to eat here for dinner. Friendly welcome from staff. Traditional establishment with lots of locals and a few tourists. We both had the goulash which was excellent. Good sized serve and the meat was very tender… we also had a side serve of roasted vegetables which were excellent (capsicum & onions) Washed in down with red wine. Service was good, waiters spoke good English. All up about CZK 900 which included a tip. Good value meal.

Great good, really friendly service and well priced. We really enjoyed our visit. The menu had a good selection of local cuisine, and was well presented and tasted great. They fitted us in short notice and we were glad we visited. Well worth it!!

I have been coming here for 10 years whenever I am in Prague. The food never ceases to please. Today's beef tartar was the best I have had in a long time and beautifully presented. Followed by pork medallions on a bed of mashed potato and spinach with sift fruit berries which added a bite to the overall taste. Again presentation was wonderful. Its not easy to keep up these standards 9 Overr so.many years and always to come up with new dishes. Congratulations to all!

We were stopping in an apartment 2 mins away. We ate every evening in here. The food was exceptional, the beef tenderloin was amazing, service fantastic. Very reasonably priced, 3 meals plus drinks approx £50. We cannot recommend this enough.

Staying close by and so happy I wandered past this place. As a woman who travels alone , finding a reputable restaurant in different country can be difficult at times. I felt welcome with friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good prices and the Duck Confit was delicious.

We were so fortunate to discover the Hospoda Hajnovka restaurant in Prague. The food was delicious, service was friendly and responsive and the prices were very reasonable. We ate there three out of the six nights we were in Prague. Some of our favorite dishes were spicy sausages cooked in beer and a fried goat cheese appetizer. We noticed that a lot of locals were eating there..... the Hajnovka was an authentic Czech restaurant NOT overrun with tourists. The hospitality, great food and ambience of the restaurant motivated us to return! We highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant both for locals and visitors cannot be bettered. I enjoyed Veal sausages with a salad and a large bowl of Creamy Spinach. Excellent and an 0.5L of Cold, clear, refreshing Pilsner Urquell. At CZK277, CZK300 with a well-deserved tip.

Delicious Czech food, friendly and capable staff, very relaxed atmosphere, mostly locals. Mostly local customers. Our last night in Prague, otherwise we would have gone back. Very meat orientated, with organic pork from their farm. Not our usual style, but when in Czechia.... It was delicious.

This place is OK...problem is almost everything else about this place is just OK. Yes, beer is good, service is good, toilet room is good but it not give something memorable what make me want to come back again. main hall is "cold". It feels "empty" and not because of visitors. Prices above average and all reason for it i guess is location: Pilsner 0.5l - 52 kr...nope, sorry. 3 little sausages as snack for beer for 149 kr...there was way more horseradish, beet, mustard and salad leafs on plate then actual meat. And i can't say taste blow my mind, it was normal but that's all. So this is average place which trying to look like a presentable restaurant.

Beautiful trattoria not far from Piazza San Wenceslas but completely out of the flow of tourists. Simple environment but with attention to detail, friendly staff, a nice choice of dishes (in addition to the typical cuisine there is a vegetarian section, which is not banal). Very generous portions and a very reasonable bill. I would happily go back!

Fantastic food and excellent service from the team. Couldn't believe how reasonable the prices are for a two course dinner with drinks. Lively buzzy atmosphere and very attentive service. Great food and amazing Czech beer. Highly recommended.

Managed to get one of the last free tables on New years eve. Albeit it was a high table it didn't detract from the great experience. Excellent variety on menu. English version available. Very reasonable prices which were as same as other nights. We eventually returned twice during our 4 day stay in Prague as we were very happy with the restaurant. You do not feel out of place if you don't dress up. Very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent toilet facilities.

Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighbourhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
