My boyfriend and I were a little unsure if this would be a tourist trap sort of thing or just a fun bazaar night. And it definitely was the latter of the two. We had such fun being picked on to participate and the food and drink was really something. Great value for money and good service with a lot... More

My husband and I stumbled across this medieval tavern after descending the steps from Prague Castle. I loved it from the minute that I stepped inside. You honestly think that you've been in a time machine !!! The interior is dark and lit by candle light. The staff are dressed as paupers/wenches to keep in with the tone of the... More

A wonderful place for atmosphere, and feel there were better items in the menu. The beer was good as was service. The corn on the cob was chewy and overlooked, and the soup was runny and bland (the bowl it was in was a lovely rye taste). Great music and decor, and the plum sauce tastes like actual plums.

tl;dr Great place, tasty food, awesome atmosphere. DO NOT come to the evening medieval shows if you have kids in the ages of 4-16 and/or don't speak Czech. Full review: I've first visited this place with 2 other friends and we had a blast. Great beer, incredible atmosphere and music, and delicious food. We had fallen in love with the... More

What a great evening we all had. The tavern was incredibly atmospheric and set the scene for the all that was about to take place. Despite being a group of 7 lads we were well and truly defeated by the food in front of us. Huge sharing platters of cheese, salad and bread followed by masses of meat, from ribs... More

I was here to witness the menu + medieval show as advertised. The food was good. It started with a salad and cheese platter accompanied by some homemade bread. The main was some smoked ribs, a BBQ skewer and some wings. As for dessert a freshly made apple pie was served. The food overall was lovely! The only bad point... More

Me and my boyfriend had been told about medieval restaurants in Prague so took to trip advisor to find one. The staff were welcoming, sat us down, helped us choose wine and a starter (selection of cold cheeses which was lovely) we ordered our main just before the show started (belly dancers, guitarist, drummer, fire breathers and pirates). The show... More

We only had one night in Prague and we wanted to get the maximum amount of emotions and taste the Czech cuisine. All this we got here. The food was excellent. The show was beautiful also: danser and music, show with fire total impressed us. It was very fun and cozy in this restaurant. We recommend to everybody to visit... More

great pub with medieval look. Tasty food, "crazy&funny" staff acting like they are in 15th century. I will say it is not only tavern or beer house it is kind of attraction in Prague

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
