Inspired by french style cuisine, realized by excellent chef, who presented the meal personally, when the meal of day was served. Brilliant extra dishes (amuse bouche - cauliflower cappuccino and between starter and main dish served cucumber sorbet) as gifts from chef. The main course - day offer - oxtail with truffle and potatos puré was wonderful combination of the... More

The food at the pot au feu was outstanding and the best we ate on our 4 night break in Prague. I was trained as a chef and have worked in the industry for over 40 years and own my own high end catering company, so I should know a thing or too. I had the veal sweetbreads for starter,... More

First of all, this restaurant belongs to a reputable chef Mr. Kracik. I know and like his approach, excellent work with sweetbread, kidneys etc. At the same time, unless you find something especially attractive (to you) on the menu, go elsewhere, because same or better you can find for lesser price. Big surprise to see him and his small (personal)... More

A great place for a really good meal. Three of us, one vegetarian. Good choices all round. The rustic plate and the pumpkin soup both excellent, my beef tartare was fine, although I'd have served it at room temperature, rather than chilled. Mains similarly good, the beef and the lamb shank for the carnivores, pasta for the veggie. Very pretty,... More

This was our top three restaurant for our European trip. Place was not big, but elegant and charming. This restaurant is Michelin Guided, not yet a star, but is equal or better than the starred restaurant. The staff was friendly and professional. Our dinner was exceptional.

We visited this restaurant three years ago, when it was new, and loved it. They have kept their high standard. Lovely pates, and the monkfish dish was excellent, so was the oxen cheek dish. French wine. In between we were served small tasty dishes. Kind waiter who found the best wine to go with the dishes.

I always tend to get to the point. This was by far the best restaurant (out of the three) that we frequented during our stay in Prague. The food was imaginatively presented, tasted great, and at a reasonable price (by western standards). All was up to scratch...except for one minor thing; my duck breast was a little bit overcooked! The... More

This lovely little restaurant has a great atmosphere, relaxed and unpretentious but will incredible food - the best we enjoyed in Prague. It is a French menu rather than traditional Czech cuisine. We had a variety of meals between five of us and all were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for an enjoyable evening. Make sure you leave plenty of... More

This restaurant is opposite the Astoria Hotel not far from the Old Town Square and definitely worth seeking out.It is small and intimate with a very high standard of service and food to die for. It was slightly more expensive than the normal tourist restaurants but worth paying the extra for.Excellent!!!!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
