Visited August 2016 in the afternoon to have a drink. Staff was kind, the restaurant was half-empty. We had drinks and desert. Despite of being almost in the centre the prices are acceptable, beer is okay, desert and small meals also. In the evening is the restaurant little bit busy but this means that it is popular. Just one small... More

Note: I used to go to U Sani around once a week with my buddies Chris and Neil when we all lived in Prague (1998-2005). This place was really fun to visit. Its menu was good and the food was cheap. We always always always got the rumpsteak with Roquefort sauce and opeceny brambory (fried large cuts of potatoes. It... More

We went there with friends and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Beer was OK, but the food was awful - cold and with no taste, "mashed" potatoes seemed to be 3 days old and very poorly mashed. The service was just as bad as the food. The waitress was very slow, quite rude and really annoyed by our presence. Told... More

I really like "U mrtveho ptaka" or "Charleston" which are associated pubs nearby. So I decided to visit "U Sani" as well. Unfortunately my burger was dry as well as fries. It took them 10 minutes to notice our glasses were empty even though we were sitting next to the kitchen so staff was passing by all the time. No,... More

Looking for a restaurant serving ordinary, Czech food in this rather hipster area, this seemed like an ok choice. Indeed it was = waiters standing outside, by the entrance, greeting us, half jokingly..but that was it for friendlness or some jokes from their side. The best part of this pub is the wall decor from old newspapers, nteresting metal sculptures... More

I ate here a couple of times on a previous trip and ate here a couple of times this trip so they must be doing something right. The food has always been good and when the dumplings sit heavily in the stomach, I find that the Bozkov Tuzemski rum makes an excellent digestive.

We walked from the Hilton in hopes of finding some local flavor, and we found it in U Sani. It's a small, informal, local restaurant, but the service was great and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

This is my number one restaurant for the czech cuisine. Everythings I tried there was delicious. My favorite meal is goulash with the dumplings, the goulash served in bread is realy good too.
