Excellent, tasty food. Large portions are the order of the day here. You certainly won't leave hungry. Not expensive either. Nice atmosphere. Make sure you book in advance - the place is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. Highly recommended.

Be forewarned this place is usually fully booked, we were lucky to get a table. The service was great, The atmosphere was nice, I was there with a small group of friends, but there were also people in large family groups, and others on dates, so it has something for everyone. Another warning though the Hot Wings are really hot!!... More

This was a third visit to Cantina for us as when we were in Prague two years ago we visited twice as the food was that good. As last time the food was excellent, really tasty with every dish bringing something different including the stuffed jalapeño peppers special we had as a starter. Be warned though the portions are massive... More

Very good food, good choice of vegetarian dishes. Friendly service. Moderately priced. Nice interior design. Seems very popular - was packed even in the afternoon. Reservation might be required.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
