If U are really into getiing know how czech's do drink and have fun, this place is one to visit. Decoration just from another century....as well as stuff. Thats why this place is so GREAT! Stuff knows the game and reads your mind...in the other words: why U are there! Place for all of the fans of Jaroslav Hašek literature!

We went here recently as a party of 4 OAPs on a Christmas Market trip due to it being close to our hotel (Green Garden Hotel). Having read so many bad reviews I wondered if we had visited the same place. Yes it is a bit rough and ready but we were made very welcome on a reasonably busy evening.... More

Yesterday we was 8 people at this place and I am visiting his place on regular bases for more than 25 years. True is that menu and prices change during this time, but some facts to consider. It is local typical restaurant in old style as it was last 40 years. Atmosphere and style is very local and based on... More

The worst place I've ever been, racist staff. Dirty seats, awful food. Drunk and violent people everywhere a must NOT go place in Prague

Went here on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. Very good food and quite cheap. I had pork knee and my companion had the quarter goose. Highly recommended.

We went as a group of 18 on a stag weekend, the beer was really good and very good value, We had a set menu of traditional Hungarian food, out of the 18 i think it was about 30/70 for loving it or hating it. It was different to say the least, we only ate there once. I thought it... More

Legendary pub with its own history, but current time is not so beautiful. Very expensive food with low quality, lazy staff, only beer is quite good. There are many superior pubs in Prague.

Huge plates of incredible food, plentiful and great beer and a really interesting location. Not even that pricy. Would totally recommend.

My wife and I visited this lovely place twice. Needless, to say for any fans of brave soldier Shveik written by Jaroslav Hashek this destination is must to go to while in Prague. The service was excellent and the food was great. We ate twice in this place, ordering every time different dishes. Everything was good and cooked to perfections.... More
