Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’d booked in advance as a couple, but had to turn up on my own. Seated and ordered by friendly staff. I’d just got my drink and comp Hors d'oeuvres , when the man at the next table kicked off an argument , with another...dinner , also at a table next to him. Started asking him, out the blue his political views. It was embarrassing tbh. The trouble causer needed a good smack in the mouth. I felt sorry for his poor girlfriend. Anyhow because of the commotion one of my dishes went missing. They rectified it in the best way possible and I returned on the Sunday , no drama this time and the food was absolutely tip top . Highly recommended, and great friendly service too.More

Decor: 2.5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Location isn’t great for this one, but don’t let that fool you. If you’re into your food, it’s worth the visit despite being in a quiet end of town. We walked here from the old town, which...was a mistake, we should have trammed/taxied - it is definitely more of a locals area which in some respects is quite nice. Once we got there, I was sceptical as the decor is only ok. However, I quickly settled in nicely as the service was lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere quite nice. And then the food - the food was delicious! I had beef shin and my fiancé had goulash. Mine came with an incredible sauce and a lovely mix of vegetables - everything super tasty. It was my birthday too and they popped a candle on my dessert. All in all, a great restaurant with really tasty food. I recommend it if you’re happy going off the main streets.More

The servers were incredibly kind and welcoming. Despite us being foreigners from the USA, they treated us as if we were locals from the neighborhood. The food was scrumptious, resembling the Czech equivalent of what one might enjoy in Lyon, France. The beer, served ice-cold...with the perfect foam, was exceptionally tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Unusually for my wife and me, we dined here two consecutive nights, compelled by the outstanding service and delightful cuisine. While a 10% gratuity is customary and not obligatory, the quality of food and service will likely inspire you to leave more. I highly recommend making a reservation, as it can become quite busy, particularly on weekends.More

Visited U Kroka four years ago. It was then a friendly local restaurant but seems now to be a tourist business focused on maximizing no of guests and profit. The food was good but a rather stressful athmosphere and too high music. However my major...disappointment was when they wanted to add 10 % service charge more or less by default. In Europe you normally add extra according to your experience and this was ok but not special. If U Kroka always want 10% extra, the reasonable way would be to increase prices or to state that there is a compulsary service charge. /Disappointed guestMore
