We were there for a lunch menu and agreed that all dishes was an average. Let's say, it doesn't offend either it doesn't impress. I can appreciate the service, we got our dishes fast and a waiter was nice.

Went there for a lunch menu. The place looks ok, food was average (the soup) or below average (the main meal) but the staff is friendly. Wouldn't praise it, but you get appropriate food and service for the money.

Excellent food and beer. Good service for a totally crowded bar. Smoky. Very full of smoke, makes your eyes water. Local pub with a nice crowd of 30-40 year olds mainly. Not full of university students. I would go back for the food and beer but, nah, even without the smoke it wasn't that interesting.

This place used to have a better atmosphere. They recently renovated it but the atmosphere is lost and the food they serve is just average. Been there like 4 times and never enjoyed it.

a typical czech hospoda. Pilsner Urquell on tap (tank beer), great food (tartar) for good money. I did not like the typical smoke/non smoker. The rooms are not divided by door or something, so you get all the cigarette stench even if you sit in the non smoker department. The waiters are quick, tend to bring you a new beer... More

Loved the food at this place. We had smoked meat in potato dumplings and the klobasa and it didn't disappoint. Will be coming back here on our next visit!

When I was a young student at the Masaryk University (early seventies :-) we spent a lot of time at this place - the beer was cheap and the ambiance was very proletarian. Returning back after more than 40 years was a surprise. Clean pub with friendly staff and excellent food. The horseradish gravy (sauce) with bread dumplings and italian... More

We have been there, food was excellent, service good, but what a bitter aftertaste when we found out they tried to overcharge us...

Placed in downtown Brno at a corner of Obilni Trh park this traditional place serves fabulous Czech cuisine and beer. Highly recommended for all who wish to sit in a nice environment with a glass of delicious Czech beer in hand. Five stars!
