Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic place for a light lunch and some cake. Hot chocolate is very thick, like a gorgeous cup of melted chocolate. Fantastic atmosphere, full of character and it’s easy to imagine the next bestseller being written here. By far our favourite cafe in Gdańsk!

I had the pleasure of stepping back in time at Retro coffe, a charming retro cafe that truly captures the essence of a bygone era. Their cappuccinos are not just coffee; they're a journey into nostalgia, served in classic mugs with a taste that's simply...exceptional. As for desserts, I couldn't resist the temptation of their cheesecake, which perfectly complemented the vintage vibe of the place. If you're looking for a dose of great coffee, delectable desserts, and a dash of retro charm, this cafe is the place to be. I'll be back for more!More

We came across this delightful cafe while in Gadansk. We can highly recommend this as a place to relax and enjoy some great cakes and delicious 'herbal' tea. As it said on a sign outside food for the soul.

Was in Gdansk, and had two walking tours of the city booked for the day ahead, and was in need of my coffee fix for the day. For 10am, not many places in the area were open, but decided upon Retro Cafe, as it looked...nice, and with it being a beutiful morning, the chance to sit on their terrace with a coffee and just people watch as the world went by was to good to turn down. Great settings and staff and really freindly. Excellent cup of coffee which is the main thing. Highly recommend.More

As the name suggests this cafe has a retro feel to it with furniture, styling and music. They have a variety of small open faced sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks. We ordered sandwiches, sour cucumber soup, tomato soup and a piece of Polish apple pie...when we visited. Nothing really stood out but the prices were decent and the venue was cozy. A few of the dessert items were on the menu but not available when we visited. The cafe is located within the old town area of Gdansk and there are quite a few attractions to see in the area. This would be a good spot for a break while exploring or a decent spot to start your day although they do open a little later at 10 am.More

This is a really wonderful cafe in the centre of Gdansk. The cake selection is out of this world and includes many gluten free options. We enjoyed hot chocolates and two large pieces of delicious cake in really cosy surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Great cafe near the main street in Gdansk, very unassuming from the outside but lovely decor inside. Great choices for breakfast for a normal diet and a gluten free one and an amazing selection of hot and cold drinks. We went back the second day...to try their cakes as again they have an amazing selection for a normal diet and a gluten free one. Highly recommend anyone drops by while in Gdansk!More

Took a break from walking the streets of Gdansk in winter and treking through the snow at the Christmas markets for a lovely pistachio Latte and nutty caramel brownie. So tasty and a cozy atmosphere!

Hi, we're a cafe. We don't offer pizza. We usually do have a gluten free cake or two available though.
