We just went to Pod Wawelem for lunch today having spent over 4 hours exploring the Wawel Castle complex. We were understandably hungry after the whole morning in museums so we weren't that picky about where we went to eat. I didn't have high expectations when entering the restaurant as the style is a little Bavarian beer hall kitsch but... More

My boyfriend and I came here as we wanted to try something a little more traditional. Located right under Wawel castle, the restaurant is a big, beautiful beer hall. We had to wait in line for about 15/20 minutes before we were seated which was fine. This was on a Monday night at about 9pm so I can only imagine... More

We had a nice dinner with typical good. Maybe a Little bit too "heavy" for my taste. I didn t like the sauerkraut (with vinager) but I did like the pierogi with champignon. Very nice the glass window.

We asked advice on where to eat traditional food and this was recommended. It's tucked behind the Royal Hotel near Wawel castle and the cathedral. Although a large space, it was split into more personal areas. Food was traditional and VERY generous. A starter was a mistake. Not haut cuisine but still a good dining experience with local dishes. They... More

We had been recommended this restaurant by a local so we felt we should try it! Restaurant looked great & we were put in the conservatory style part of the restaurant...right in the back corner. We appreciate the restaurant was busy but the service really wasn't great! The food did make it up for it & the price was great... More

Found this place on second night of visit. Nice friendly atmosphere and warm and cosy. Drinks average price and good food and choices.still very cheap compared to the UK. Worth a visit to rest the legs and chill with a nice beer in the heat.

I spent 6 months living in Krakow and this was one of the places I visited on a weekly basis. I loved their special daily offers, especially friday, when you could get 1L draught beer for 7,5 zloty. I tried half of the menu, and their food is divine. Traditional Polish, huge portions and delicious flavors, live music on weekends.... More
