Mirror Bistro - Pierogi Bystro is celebrated by diners for its exceptional value, offering a range of delectable pierogis and soups at prices that don't break the bank. The restaurant's atmosphere is often described as cozy and inviting, creating a relaxing dining experience. While service is typically lauded for its friendliness and attentiveness, there have been occasional mentions of language barriers and a slower pace. As for the food, the pierogi receive high marks for authenticity and flavor variety, despite a few reports of blandness.

We came to Kraków for a city place and found Mirror pierogi restaurant by accident. They serve traditional polish dumplings with a twist. Definitely will recommend 🙂 to choose mix option of 12 dumplings with 4 different types (Sept 2022 - price 25zl/ around 5£).

We had the Small bowl (16pcs) dumplings, trying two of each variety, and the Red Borsch soup. The dumplings were delicious and very filling, 16 shared between two filled us. The red borsch soup was outstanding, unbelievably tasty and very warming for a snowy Feb.

Everything about our experience was just fine. Decor was medicore, the food jus OK. Dumpling dough was nice, but the fillings weren't seasoned enough and all tasted very similar even though we tasted 8 flavours (4 vegetarian and 4 sweet). Their homemade polish juice drink (kompot) was quite good tho. Prices are fine, especially for the amount of food you get but the flavour simply is not there. I don't think I'll ever vist this place again, there are plenty better dumplings restaurants around.

We were very excited to try this place as wanted to try perogyi on my trip from the UK. The place is beautiful and such good value. We ordered a sharing bowl of perogyi dumplings and they were excellent, exceeded expectations. Unfortunately the service let the place down otherwise it would have been 5 stars. When we arrived it was not busy and we waited and 3 staff all walked past us many times and did not acknowledge us until eventually I tried to take a menu and was told to go and sit down. Once we eventually ordered it took 30 minutes to receive our 2 drinks and only because we had to ask for them a second time. Very slow and slightly uncomfortable as we felt like a hassle to the staff there.

Best pierogi we ever had. We ordered two of the mix bowls (one sweet, one meaty). In total 24 pieces of 8 types and it was about enough for the two of us. The place has a great atmosphere and music playing, along with the ceramics hanged on the wall, making a cozy vibe. Definitely recommend!

There was a good traditional meal for a good price. We liked the dishes, meal was served on a traditional ceramic plates and bowls. The service wasn't good enough. Although there wasn't a big traffic (8 customers inside) we had to wait to order the meal quit long. When one of customers complained his beer is not cold, waitress offered him to put in the ice cube?!

We visited early weekday afternoon to try some dumplings. Only 1 lady working, who had very good english and was friendly. We were seated and ordered, told to expect 20 minutes for food. There was then a couple other tables came in 10/15 after and had their drinks delivered but we were still waiting. Food was delivered about 20 minute mark, but drinks not for another 10 minutes despite being told they were on their way. Dumplings not our scene it turns out, however through no fault of theirs. Prices extremely good, very friendly and very good english.

Having been told of the wonders of pierogis by my partner from her previous visits to Poland, we absolutely wanted to have a night finding somewhere serving some authentic Polish food and Mirror Bistro offered just that. Plenty of good soup choices, both of us going for the Zurek (traditional sour soup). We got the big bowl to share between us which let us try all the tempting choices for pierogis without missing out and for great value too. Friday night and full restaurant but service was very attentive, drinks and food brought very quickly despite being told there might be a wait on the soup! It didn't take long at all. Good mixture of locals and tourists like ourselves so a popular spot all round. Food was delicious and we were very happy with the overall experience.

This spot was close to our hotel & hit the spot! We ended up going twice & im sure will return if ever back in the area. Service was ok. Tomato soup was a bit peppery but the piping hot chicken broth is what brought us back. We had the cheese pierogi with fried onions & the sweet plum pierogi, both delicious. Must say everything tastes better from adorable dishes :) You order at the table & pay at the counter when finished. Seating filled up quickly around dinner time. We found food prices extremely reasonable in Poland (coming from US & comparable to rest of Europe) Tip: carry a bottle of water with you, reusable or grab one from any of the many convenience stores for 1/4 of the price of restaurants.

Service took a long time, we went on Friday at approximately 8pm and only 1 server was in the restaurant catering to all tables, felt sorry for her working so hard whilst a couple of the managers what it looked like were sat at tables. The server was lovely, no complaints about her. Completely understaffed for a Friday night. It took about 20min for drinks, even longer for food. The pierogi were watery too, not as nice as other ones I have at different restaurants. We got one random Nutella one too when we ordered meat. The music is quiet, not very atmospheric. The interior not cosy at all.

A local restaurant that serves home made dumplings .. something we’ve never had, at least not polish dumplings.. it serves soups and dumplings only .. we ordered sour soup, red bush soup and two noodle broth soups.. … the broth soup tasted like super noodles so the lads didn’t mind those .. the red bush was sweet beetroot soup .. the sour soup was good .. all I’m all a good home made start Next : the dumplings .. as said we’ve never had polish dumplings before but as it’s for excellent reviews we figured we would give it a go .. They are soft style dumplings with various fillings including spinach and feta, garlic mushroom, Mexican chicken and cabbage .. The feta and spinach by far the best .. the mex chicken tasted like tuna .. Choice of toppings from friend onions, sour cream or garlic sauce .. all work well .. could have done with something spicy .. If you want to get dumplings def give this place a go !! Popular with locals and cheap !!! For us, wasn’t to our taste . Service good and excellent English Please note that if you give a good review on trip advisor before bill you get 10% off !! Do wonder if this is why 5 stars across the board

We came here to try traditional polish food and we did! We had warm bier as per recommendation of the waitress which was suprisingly very pleasant then ordered 2 traditional soups such as the beetroot soup (a bit sweet for me)and the sour traditional soup which were both delicious and new experiences. The traditional pierogi (dumplings) were absolutely delicious, we ordered polish Christmas (mushrooms), krakau (with cabbage) and Mexican chicken. My favorit was the cabbage dumplings and the sour traditional soup. Adding sour cream or onions on the dumplings is also a great idea, we really enjoyed it.

We came here for the good reviews and the chance to try some traditional food and we were not disappointed! We had the sour soup (which is not super sour and we would recommend) shared between us, which was more than enough, and a shared plate of 16 pierogies. They were so delicious! We tried a couple of mixed meat and veggie ones with sour cream and really enjoyed them. Too stuffed for dessert unfortunately or would have liked to try some sweet ones. Pricing is very good, particularly with the current exchange rate. Will definitely come back here on our next trip to Krakow!

We were keen to try some local Polish food while in Krakow, and Mirror provided an excellent opportunity to figure out what we liked in terms of pierogies and soups. The surroundings were quite simple and no-frills, but the food was delicious and affordable, which is what you really want. If you’re looking for a fancy night out then there’s multiple other options, but for cheap local grub you won’t do much better. Goes down well with a glass of Polish cider to accompany.

Total dissapotment! The worst waitress experience in my life. We walk 25minuts just to eat in that place and we came around 8.50 p.m. ready to eat and drink a lot. The waitress at start just ignored us and tell us there is no place. We told her we are ready to wait and she said that this is no possible because they are closing at 10pm. At the same time one table with two chairs was free and we asked about that table and she said it is not possible because they don't have enough chairs and go away. We asked her what about a free chair on the other table. We waited for some time and she didn't want to bring it to other table so we left. I have never experienced more rude stuff
