We enjoyed a perfectly cooked meal with a really nice bottle of red wine , served by the charming Michael. This visit was exceptional value and it was faultless....well done to all.

We held a dinner to say goodbye to some colleagues who were leaving Bydgoszcz at the end of their contract. The meal was enjoyed by all, the food was excellent and the service was its usual very high standard. The staff were very friendly and...professional. I have also stayed in the apartments and can highly recommend Katarynka to all.More
Very good food and drinks Nice decor and atmosphere and very professional service Flavors of dishes typically Polish served in a very modern way
We ordered two vegetarian items, potato pancakes, baked celery and "chlodnik" soup. Pancakes terrible inappropriate potatoes, the cake was not fully fried, soaked in fat - completely unsuccessful. On the other hand, the baked celery was very tasty, the composition of flavors matched perfectly and...I will definitely come back to this position. I do not recommend the soup, it lacked basic ingredients such as fresh cucumber or radish. Botwina was tough. Service 5/10.More
Don't get me wrong, food was great! What wasn't great, was the lack of distance between seats. It's December, it's cold, and Covid is surging in the world, and especially in Poland. We reserved a table for 5, and got seated right next to the...window, where a lovely couple, were practically sitting right up against me and my 85 year-old grandfather, and next to my 78 year-old grandma and my 62 year-old dad was a teeny-tiny divider and then another occupied 2-person table. Only reason I didn't leave, was because my family asked me to not make scene. It's a really bad signal to send, and it shows me that the restaurant doesn't care about my or my family's health. Just money. I did like the food, but I will not be returning to this place. Because if they do not care about my, my family's or even their own servers health, they don't deserve my money.More
It took very long time to make an order and waiter was clearly disappointed we wanted just warm drinks. Then we had to wait for our drinks and for bill too.
We have made reservation there to sit in the garden. Food was average. Nothing special. Quite long time of waiting for food, then for a bill.
What a great restaurant..always good service and food..good prices and lovely atmosphere...gets a little busy but worth the wait ....cheese soup to die for
We stayed for a weekend break, the apt had everything we needed and waswarm and cosy..the food in restaurant is delicious i would highly recommend it
Nice breakfast with a couple of nice cakes to finish up Cappuccino could be hotter Alli the rest was good
Good food, sweet surroundings, not noisy. Would go again with a good friend and have dessert this time.
In general, Katarynka seems to be a nice cozy place in the very centre of the city. The staff has been friendly during our short visit and the items we've had (tea, cappucino and ice cream) have tasted well. However, the reason for giving one...star is one moment I'd like to drag the attention to. There was a woman coming to pick up baked stuff (buns or smth) from the cafe. The tray she carried fell down in the middle of the place with the buns FALLING OUT TO THE FLOOR. I did expect that they will be picked up. But only to be further thrown out or given to pigeons. Instead, the woman waited until the waitress PICKED UP THE BUNS FROM THE FLOOR AND PUT THEM BACK ONTO THE TRAY next to those ones that didn't fall. I don't know who were the buns for or what has happened to them later. But just thinking of the fact that sb will be eating buns from the floor doesn't make Katarynka an attractive place for me. Who knows what else has fallen to the floor and has been picked up to be placed back on the plate. Hopefully, not my ice cream:))More
This restaurant is very popular and is always crowded. The food is cheap and the portions are large. The only problem is that the food is that good but then it is just a bistro
Since we stayed at their apartment hotel we had daily breakfast at the bistro. They have a good selection of breakfast items. Their omelets are perfect, I particularly liked the one with plum jam. I also noticed that they are always almost full, be it...breakfast, lunch, or dinner which is a good sign. They serve really tasty and home style cooked food.More
I stay here regularly on business and the hottest tip is, if considering staying at the Katarynka - ask for Room 1 (large) or Room 3 (small) - Rooms 2 and 4 are at the front and you have to keep the double glzed windows...shut tight to keep the noise of all-year round late night and early morning revelry dampened down. The menu ranges from Zl 15 to about Zl 36 and they do their own apple pies with apple crumble on top for Zl 12 - wonderful taste but no good for the keto diet :( The Katarynka wifi is better, now that extra routers have been installed in the stairwell. It's well situated for the river amenities and for all the other restaurants and cake shops up Gdanska Street.More
