Visited the place with several colleagues over lunchtime and while the restaurant had only 2 more people, the service was surprisingly slow. The food was bang average, nothing bad, but also nothing good, however a bit overpriced. Then we were told we cannot pay separately as we did not tell up front, even though this was not shown anywhere that... More

We ate here on our first night in Warsaw. The food was great- we had a soup to start and then perogies! Both were great and full of flavour. The only negative was the difficulty in getting the staffs attention. But overall it was great.

Thursday night meal 23/3. Visited this restaurant as had eaten in one in Krakow a few years earlier. Aware of portion size so shared a starter with my wife. Went for the potato cake option with a mushroom sauce. 2 large potato cakes arrived so one each was sufficient. For main I went for the schnitzel with kopytka and beetroot.... More

First one opened about 20 years ago (or even more) outside Krakow (still open and much more worth visiting as the original one) on the way from Krakow to Zakopane. Go there and taste speciality - pierogi.

very well set. Food portions are generous and the quality is good. Mainly appreciated by locals, I was lucky to be invited and I've been recommended what to eat. Everything is very good and the service is very efficient. Meats and soups are the best.

Well worth a visit in its own right, but why queue at the very popular U Szwejka next door when you can get a table in this lovely traditional restaurant. The food is very good from slightly limited menu, compared to next door, but still plenty of choice. I liked the complimentary starter of Pork/Bacon lard to spread on fresh... More

Visited Warsaw last week (Oct 2016). Six of us visited this Resturant for evening meal, the resturant staff were very helpful and found us a table even though we hadn't booked. We all ordered different meals from the traditional Polish menu. We had to prompt the staff to come and take our order. However, once the food arrived it was... More

A small but decent restaurant offering authentic Polish dishes. Loved the ambience and the set-up, seemed very traditional exuding a rustic look.

Having eaten at Chlopskie Jadlo in Poznan and Krakow we decided to find the one in Warsaw and it was worth the walk. Done out in farmhouse style this restaurant offers good Polish food in a lively atmosphere. The staff were very busy but the service was fairly quick and efficient. Lard (yes lard!) cheese, gherkins and lovely are served... More

Popular and central place. The menu is not exclusive, the food is not bad and if you are hungry, this place will do
