We went there for a dinner, it was not very busy place, but we still had to wait for food. Duck dish was far too sweet, almost like dessert, so we complained about it. Other dishes were OK, but nothing special.

We Hand an excellent dinner at a very nice place. Different in its style but nice. High quality in Food beverages and servants. It would upgrade you, in you would use Lünen napkins. Would be much nicer.

I am someone that doesn't like to leave bad reviews or criticise restaurants but the service my boyfriend and I received at this restaurant was beyond shocking. I feel annoyed just thinking about it! This restaurant was one of the recommendations from the hotel we stayed at so we assumed it would be nice. One of the receptionists from our... More

To keep it simple : - We arrived at 8pm during the week days, and at 9pm we were out. We were almost the only ones, perhaps it was our mistake. - Drinks: cocktails were basic, pinacolada tasted like pre-made for the store. - Food: starter and main course tasted like it was made a few days before, and warmed... I was travelling as part of a group of seven last November and we dropped into Noir et l'or on a whim as we were all hungry and keen to settle in for lunch after our flight. I'd researched lots of different options (none of them nearby) so we took a punt on this restaurants, and were delighted by our... More

Refined restaurant with measured waiter. The food was good quality ingredients. The restaurant has also offered mixed drinks I tasted a mojito but was the bitter taste cosmopolitan was ok as well as dessert.

I have to say I found this restaurant to be really quite nice. I ate here for lunch, there was an extensive menu which had a huge range of traditional Hungarian dishes to choose from. Staff were fine, efficient but not overly friendly. I had mangalica which was breaded served with potato salad and pickled cucumber,it was a huge portion... More

Yikes, where does one begin? The service was never met with a smile and we felt unwelcome most of the meal, not to mention that the food was rather boring. The space was clean but the design was a bit cluttered. I have no intention of ever trying to make my way back nor offering a recommendation to this business.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
