Very tasty food at cheap prices. We ate the beef fillet stroganoff with rösti potatoes (some of the best potatoes I've got). Very friendly and attentive service. When we visited the restaurant there was entertainment of 3 musicians - clarinet, piano and violin. Lovely and...More

We had a nice dinner with my colleagues. The ribs were excellent, but could be more spicy. The selection of beers were limited but good quality. Originally I was booking the table in the Beer cellar (Serpince) but it was full, so they could offer...More

Got attention by their live jazz and fork music. I ordered their one of their top sellers, ribs with BBQ sauce. For sweeter teeth, you can also order ribs with honey and mustard sauce. Nice environment for couples.

Stopped here because they had a lot of outdoor seating and live music. 7 of 8 tables empty but marked “reserved.” We waited and took our seats at the only table available after they cleaned it off. Traditional Hungarian cuisine, moderate pricing. Bread was stale,...More

The food was okay but the quality of the service was absolutely rubbish. The waiter was very unpleasant and was clearly laughing at us when hesitating between dishes. Also, the waiter was not speaking English very well (or at least he was not trying to...More

We had an evening meal with beer, wine and Palinka. Staff were excellent and let us eat slowly and take our time, despite it being a busy Saturday evening. Nice live music

We were a group and in two nights in a row they refused to take our order because they have a larger group and the kitchen is crowded. Really hard to understand...

Description
"Red Mail Coach" - "Voros Postakocsi" is traditional Budapest restaurant. It cannot be said, that the Voros Postakocsi Restaurant in Raday Street really stands out from the others, but anyone looking for a Hungarian culinary experience shouldn't pass it by. Originally opened in the early seventies, this traditional fully licensed restaurant, specializing in authentic Hungarian dishes, has been a firm favourite for over three decades, serving authentic, well-cooked and reasonably priced food to its predominantly local Clientele. The restaurant offers a wide range of carefully selected meals from authentic and modern Hungarian cuisine. Traditionally heavy dishes are rendered light, courtesy of organic meat, dairy products and vegetables. The menu offers several vegetarian options. We formed the Red Mail Coach Restaurant's Menu around the Foie Gras and other Hungarian specialities. The restaurant's wide selection of modern Hungarian wines is a treat for all. The Red Mail Coach Restaurant offers more than 70 kinds of bottled wine, half of which is also available by glass at very attractive prices.
