We went smartish. No shorts and tee shirt. I think it is a more upmarket type of restaurant. Always feel better dressing oneself on these occasions. Can't go wrong then.

Description
Muzeum Cafe and Restaurant belongs to the best tradicional Hungarian restaurants and is operating in Pest's historical downtown since 1885. Predecessor of the Restaurant was well know as Schodli Cafe the names of our prominent clientele are entered in the guest book - includeing Members of Parliament, writers, and actors registered itself in history of budapester cafe. Because its past and tradition represents durable values in the Hungarian gastronomy and Hungarian taste it is arranged with the newest technology. The menu offers gently modernized masterpieces from the Hungarian - and international cuisines, with exerienced selection of the national wines - and brandies. The walls are covered in tiles from the world-famous Zsolnay porcelain works. The unique hand-carved wood paneling is uncler the protection of the Preservation Trust. The jewel of the piano room is a painted ceiling by Karoly Lotz, entitled Csikosverseny. Another unique feature is an original 19th century Venetian mirror
