We ate here our first night in Budapest because it was EASY. We were delightfully surprised by our Hungarian dishes....chicken paprika, a duck dish and hungarian goulash soup!!! Service was VERY slow and disjointed but it may have been an off night. The breakfast buffet included in our room was always good although too crowded.

The Zara Boutique Hotel's Restaurant had a very good promotion of a soup and main course for 5 € and I tried and was the best meal in the hungarian capital! I highly recomment that menu with hungarian flavours!

We have visited this restaurant after new years eve in the hope of having a good lunch, and we were not disappointed. As many reviews claim, the price-value ratio is hard to believe. You can have a 3-course meal for 5-6 Euro in a decent environment. The service is of high standard and polite. We had mushroom soup, pork and... More

We were staying at the Boutique Hotel Budapest and this restaurant is right inside the hotel. The atmosphere was excellent. Good music, nice cocktails, and warm interior. The menu is not pricy at all. I started with wild mushroom soup, and my wife a had Ceasar salad. The mushroom soup was about 3.5 euros, and the Ceasar about 5 euros.... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
