We had intentions to eat at spoon, the restaurant next door, however we thought we'd give this place a go and we are so glad that we did! The staff were attentive and friendly throughout and we willing to have a laugh and joke with us. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection, the only bad point was that... More

During a seminar our group of around 50 ate here at the pre-reserved boat. Pleasant setting and choice of local cuisine such as asparagus soup, goulash, duck etc. Wines disappointing, Hungarian ones.

One of the afternoons we were in Budapest it rained and poured and rained some more. We stopped in here for a light meal and ended up staying for hours, talking to the servers and other patrons. So warm and friendly, they made us feel like locals. Romantic, beautiful surroundings and views, want to return!

Dining on the Danube on a river boat moored to the shores of the Danube with spectacular waterfront scenes is a great evening of dining for couples and families alike. The food was very good and not overly expensive given the great surroundings. The staff were very prompt and related well despite language barriers. The views are breathtaking and make... More

This is a historical and beautiful building in Budapest. It has a lot of gold plated decoration inside and look great at night from the exterior. We had a tour insight for 45 minutes however you need to take stairs if you prefer to walk.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
