Kispiac Bisztro has made a big impression in the five years that it’s been in the shade of imposing government buildings less than 10 minutes walk from the Hungarian Parliament and the ‘not so blue’ Danube. The Trip Advisor awards are proudly framed on the...More

Being on a 3-day business trip in Budapest, I was wondering around where to have dinner, as I stumbled by accident on this nice little bistro, right behind the US embassy. It was still early (6:20) so - although the place was fully booked by...More

My wife and I have eaten at Kispiac at least six times and we will have at least a few more meals before we complete our 10-month stay in Budapest. This is a go-to choice for a traditional Hungarian style of food. Here's a few...More

What made this restaurant so special for us is that we found it by accident (yeah, like, not through Trip Advisor) when we visited the Hold St Market but couldn’t find a restaurant inside to take a credit card. Kispiac was right next door and...More

Excellent fat duck liver. Strongly recommend it. Plus you get to see your food being cooked. Deer goulash was also very tasty but it paled compared to the fat duck liver. Good job!

Had a great evening- went with the waiter (owner’s?) suggestion for wine and dinner, good move. Had the crispy goose which was outstanding, the wine was the best we’ve had so far, which is saying a lot. It’s a tiny little restaurant so my guess...More

Where to start! The place is tiny which makes the experience even better! I came with a group of 7 people and we tried a lot of the menu! It was our last night in Budapest which was sad as would have loved another night...More

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
