Ive ordered from here food but they were unable to bring in within 60 minutes. The contact person from the restaurant told me that they will pay me back the food if the "takeaway guy" arrives. He arrived after 1h 50 minutes with cold food without any willingness to give me the money back after I refused the cold food.... More

I went to these place with some friends looking to find some good local food. Instead, what we found was more than one hour of wait for a dish that wouldn't have taken more than 20min to cook. The wine wasn't so good but, worst of that was when we ordered what're without gas, and they brought it with gas,... More

This is a restaurant used by local people with prices to match. It is welcoming to others if you are off the more usual tourist trails. The menu (printed is Hungarian and English not least as an aid to communication) is comprehensive and it is probably best to order local dishes: the Caesar Salad was little more than iceberg lettuce,... We were surprised that paying with credit card is impossible in this restaurant. the conversion rate between HUF and EUR was 280 (compared to 305 - 310 in exchange offices) but the change was given in euro. So if you want to eat in this restaurant as a tourist, you are forced either to have enough HUF or to leave... More

You can eat some typical Hungarian foods here, though their speciality is the Wiener Schnitzel. You get a huuuuge portion. :) The inside is minimalistic, feel free to wear jeans here. The food is tasty, though most of them are rich in cholesterine, fat and spices.

I was on vacation a few days in Budapest. The restaurant is 10 minutes' walk from the East Train Station. I had a late lunch here. Two-three guests were there. No welcome... I ordered the house specialty, Veal Schnitzel. Large portion, meat was very thin, little dry roasted, taste was more like pork then veal.... Service was not really guest oriented... Price are... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
