We stopped here to have piazza for lunch. We found that the piazza was alright and of reasonable value. One of the good things about buying lunch here was that we were able to sit outside and enjoy a view the plaza and St Stephens Basilica. Spent a peaceful 40 minutes sitting here and looking at the world pass by.... More

We popped in here for a drink after visiting St Stephens Basilica. The waitresses were kind and helpful and the entire place looked very clean and pleasant. We had latte, green tea and ice coffee. Everything was nice and good value for the area. The ice cream looked very appetising but we passed as it was raining. All in all, a... More

This has got to be the best Gelato Place Ever! I got the Tiramisu and it was amazing. It tasted like there was a hint of liquor in it and it blended together excellently! My mom got the raspberry and it tasted as if there were actually raspberries in the Gelato!! The raspberry started off tasting like cold raspberry ice... More

I received very cold treatment from the girls behind the counter. I asked for milk-free ice cream and they gave me mean looks and kept talking to each other to understand what I mean and then they told me my options in a very rude, condescending tone. The gelato portions are very, very small too.

We went yestarday afternoon to have 2 icecream and 2 coffee. I don't want to speak about the quality witch is ok like other shops in the town, but about the service. They give us the receipt without the description (only the total amount...) and there was plus 10% of service (no details... the girls said this thing when we... More

Half average ice cream place, half tourist trap. They give you average ice cream for a high price. There are much nicer places in the area, try Gelato Rosa for one or any Fragola.

Just stopped by this lovely little Italian style caffe and cake shop.Besides the very relaxing atmosphere they have delicious ice cream with huge selection and excellent cakes and cookies. BRAVO! Finally a place in Budapest using Stevia instead of sweet n' low. On top, nobody can beat the view! The place is looking right at the Basilica.

The ice cream was nice, the portion was very small in a cup with a convex base so it had less space for ice cream. The server only gave 2 scrapes into the tub it was not even half full! Go to Cafe Callas up on Andrassy Avenue instead. Cheaper and bigger portions

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
