We had dinner at Cyranos last night and it was definitely worth a visit. It is in the old town and there are many places to eat but this was a great meal at a very reasonable price. We had a set menu of three choices which was enough choice. The food was good and the restaurant very comfortable. Most... More

I had late lunch here, would not recommend it at all. My experience was so bad that I could not stop myself writing a comment about this restaurant. My goat cheese and duck risotto were really bad. The risotto was so tasteless. This restaurant was a huge disappointment for me

It is in the real center of the city. At the most famous Váci street. You can sit on street, inside and has second floor too. To go up, need to use different size of steps, which are really strange,- and in a dark area, not so secure. - shows the cheap reconstruction of the restaurant. The enterieur a little... More

We first tried Cyrano for breakfast and later during the week returned for lunch. Not an extensive menu, but anything on offer will make a happy meal. Service and food quality is excellent. Try the Cyrano Croissant and tea for breakfast, but not if you're on a low-cal, sugar-free diet!

We arrived on a Friday evening with no reservation but managed to get the last available table. The food was just gorgeous; beautifully cooked and presented and very filling. I had the sea bass which was delicious and the tarte tatin (scrummy) and our meals really did not disappoint. The desserts were delicious too, apart from the Hungarian dumplings which... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
