We popped in here during a walk about tour and I was fascinated with the colour, the furniture (the chairs wore shoes!) so much so I can hardly remember what we had to eat and drink. It was all good though

We arrived for lunch after a long morning of sightseeing. The waiter barely looked at us, gave the impression that we were interrupting his otherwise busy day (the restaurant wasn't terribly busy by then, by the way), got irritated when we asked if we could change the size of a drink, although we did it 1 minute after we had... Having been to Budapest before I saw the bread soup bowls and they looked so delicious I was on a mission to go back and try. They had cheese soup or onion soup.....both were fab. All the other food looked spectacular and I highly recommend this treat.

We visited this cafe twice during a short stay in Budapest. We really liked the atmosphere, very laid back and popular with locals as well as tourists. Nice coffee and supurb local deserts - strudel and somloi (?) sponge. We thought the staff were very pleasant and attentive enough. We picked it because it was slightly off the main track... More

After a long walking from Gilert Hill to Mattias Church, we were looking for a nice restaurant to eat authentic Hungarian food, we found Miro in a walking distance (2 mins) from Mattias church. We ordered onion soup and goulash. Onion soup in bread was far away with the picture in the menu, very ugly. The food was ok nothing... More

After walking the Capital District, we stopped at Miro for a light snack. One of us had the rice noodles but 2 of us had dessert and coffee. Miro is located away from St. Matthias walking toward the hospital in the rocks. There are a cluster of eating places there, but Miro looked like it was all open inside and... More

We looked for somewhere nice to have lunch while visiting the Castle, unfortunately we decided to eat in Miros. Food was ok, but our waiter Andi was the most unpleasant we've ever experienced. He barely spoke to us during the visit. To take our order, he stood at our table and never spoke! Our food was left down, again no... More

We ordered cheese soup in a bread. But were told that bread is no more available and they served it in a plate. Little offtop from the start. We ordered lunch for 3 people - 2 adults, 1 child) with one glass of wine. Stake was good and salmon was overdried and overfried. The bill in the end was a... More

If Jamie's Italian across the street is mobbed, you might want to give Cafe Miro a shot. Is it great? No. Is it terrible? I certainly didn't think so. My wife had the Greek Salad and it was very good. I had the Hungarian Chicken and it wasn't half bad. The restaurant was quiet, which can sometimes be a relief.

화장실도 깨끗했어요~ Chef... please use much less soy sauce in your honey chili duck breast, Asian... Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
